If I saw that choreo sequence I would have had no idea that Kazuki had a disaster skate. He's truly committed. Sad it turned out that way.

For a slight silver lining.... that series of step-outs after Kazuki's first 3A was SO impressively acrobatic, it deserves points for itself

Sadly the truth. I want Kazuki to go to the Olympics but if Kao has to bomb worse than Kazuki just did it's not worth it. My primary emotion while Kao is skating is already just fear. Let's hope it doesn't get worse tonight.

Some moments of brilliance for Rio, and some silly little errors, he has so much talent but I think he got in his head a bit for the second half. I do think this will be a good experience for him, you could see him check out and then bring it back for the choreo sequence, which is an important skill to learn. Now, he better go and take a month off before preparing for Junior Worlds because he should not be skating with a stress fracture, it never ends well and is so dangerous because he's growing and doing all of this insane tech content. BE LIKE YUMA AND TAKE THE TIME TO HEAL.

Shun seems to be the only one immune to the nerves so far. Even Rio who can't go to the Olympics was affected.
