Kazuki (I'm still so sad about his skate) left the Olympic door wide-open, and Kao ran through it with his opening three jumping passes. I'm glad that Kao, at least, had a strong skate, but I do wish it could've been a clean-skate-off between the two of them. Those opening quads were soooo good and I really enjoy this program, now please just work on your spins, Kao, you are bleeding so many points on those elements. I am glad to hear he's injury-free now, hopefully he can skate the second half of this program better in Milan. He lost a lot of points there.

and now happy tears from Kao in the k&c, he has to know that's enough for an Olympic berth

Miura started off incredibly well, but then the mistakes started creeping in the second in. He’ll fall below Sato, but he’ll still be on the podium.
