“To be honest, I originally planned to retire after this season, but I think I might have to, so I've been thinking about it for a while. If I continue to compete next season, I hope to compete for another four years. I participate in this tournament out of my belief and pride, and although I feel I performed fairly well, the points haven't really translated into success. I feel I can't end it here until my dream comes true.”

I'm crying so much an utterly captivating free from Kaori, she is just so good and this being her last Nationals is just... . I don't know what else to say, but I think we're all crying a little bit right now.

seeing all of the other competitors, including Wakaba, crying is making me cry again too... Kaori is such an amazing teammate and an inspiration for so many of these skaters
