The 2026 Four Continents Figure Skating Championships will take place January 21-25, 2026, in Beijing, China.

The event is sanctioned by the International Skating Union (ISU) and is one of the four (World, Europeans, and World Junior Championships) annual figure skating competitions designated “ISU Championships.” Skaters must belong to a non-European member nation of the ISU to compete and must be at least seventeen before July 1 preceding the event.

Skaters/teams participating must have reached the following Combined Total Elements Scores (SP/RD + FS/FD) during the ongoing season (2025/26) or the immediately preceding season (2024/25):

Men: 86.00 | Women: 75.00 | Pairs: 75.00 | Ice Dance: 85.00

I get back from Hawaii on the 27th. I am hoping that some music organization doesnt take the vids down from from youtube before I can watch them. I have a 10 inch tablet I am booting up now to see if it will handle Peacock.

Well. happy for Kemp Elizarov. Skate Canada often doesn't do 4CC + JWC so I am glad that they get to do both.

Interesting how they submitted just them : if they can wait until Nationals, then why not just give out all the names at once. Strange.
Korea sending their A team as usual.
Japan sending a very strong team which I would not call B but maybe A- ?? I mean a couple of the stars in singles are not there but their line-up is strong... the only big absents are R/R in pairs

Pairs : North Koreans are listed.

It is a bit, but I assume it's because of the lack of pairs teams with minimums. For all the other spots, it's not 100% locks on who goes (even though some we basically know). But K/E won't get the Olympic spot, and don't have competition for 4CCs.

Off topic questions. I been wondering for a long time since Britain cede mdHong Kong to China around 1998.
How can Hong Kong have a skater to represent itself. (Wouldn't the skater be Chinese citizens)
Ask citizenship issues to skate in Olympic or Four Continents.
Or do they skate as independent neutral athletes representing their former

Athletes from Hong Kong represented Hong Kong, not Great Britain. I don't think anything has changed with the transition to China.

IOC recognizes them as eligible when they hold a passport as Chinese nationals and are the residents of a special administrative region. Chinese bureaucracy is sophisticated enough to create such a thing and calcify the exception given HK last century.

Thank you for the information. I learned something new today. Thank you
