How to watch the 2026 U.S. National Figure Skating Championships

So you can use a Japanese IPTV service (Nozomi, Himawari, etc.) to watch US Nationals on JSports 4 or use a VPN to watch through JSports on Demand (or possibly TVer)!

(I highly recommend this method! No inane Johnny and Tara commentary!!!)
Walk me through how I can do this, though? Will this service be offering full coverage though? Any closed-caption English translation of the commentary?

Forget it, if JSports 4 is only covering singles U.S. Nats events.

So I live in Europe. I will take any moving live stream no matter the commentary or commercials. I think I will be able to get a stream for normal NBC (the one with Today show etc) and USA network. Will I be able to watch the last 2 warumup groups of men's singles live or will the non pay tv channels only show the last group or replay? I am thinking about rescheduling my work on friday so I can watch live thursday night but only if I have a chance to see Max Naumov live

I was just sending some of my relatives information on how to watch Nats on TV and Peacock. Here are the sad thoughts I had after looking at several schedules.

U.S. Figure Skating Nationals start next week on 6 January in St. Louis. A printed list of the events can be found here: https://stlsports.org/special-event/2026-us-figure-skating-championships/schedule/. And the colored schedule of practices and competitions for seniors is on the second page at this link: https://usfigureskating.org/documents/2025/12/4/2026USFSChampsMatrixDraft1_11-23-25.pdf. There is also information on how to watch at this U.S. Figure Skating webpage:https://usfigureskating.org/sports/2025/11/3/2026-prevagen-us-figure-skating-championships.aspx. Note that the times are probably in Central Time.

The tiles for Peacock are up and can be found with a search on “Figure Skating”. It may take a little time to find the senior events since there are some very old events still there along with tiles for the junior oomps. There are some practice cams also listed. I’m not sure exactly how NBC and Peacock will be covering this. It may be something of a mish-mash. I notice that on 7 January there is a tile for the Pairs Short Program at 2;30 PST (2 hours) and a tile tor Pairs, Women’s Short Program at 5:00 PST (3 hours). I also notice that, on the USFSA how to watch page linked above, that there will be cable TV coverage of something at 7:00 CST. So my guess is that Pairs may be shown complete on Peacock with some announcer that I don’t know. But then, a little bit of Pairs along with the women will be shown both on USA Channel and Peacock with the Tara and Johnny show and all the TV commercial interruptions. So when anything is being shown on the USA or NBC broadcast channels, we will probably see the identical stream on Peacock.😬😵‍💫
Thanks for the printed list of events link. Much appreciated!

Yes, there's full coverage. No, there's no English translation, but there's far less commentary and the Japanese commentators don't talk over the performances.

Last year JSports 4 only showed singles live, but this year is different: they are covering pairs and dance live as well!!!

Setting up an IPTV is detailed in this post from @tsuyoboogie in regards to JNats, but look for JSports 4 instead:
How to Watch Japanese Nationals

IPTV Services

These services are illegally pirating Japanese TV so communication and payment will be done “discreetly”
I have tested all IPTV services listed below and have had questions and issues resolved relatively quickly by contacting customer support

Nozomi
Nozomi Standard (60 Channels) Includes Fuji TV, BS Fuji and CS Fuji TV TWO
Service not available in Japan, Mainland China or the Netherlands
3 Day Test for $3.50 USD
PayPal is shown as an accepted form of payment but credit card is the only option available during checkout
Cost efficient, prompt communication after payment, high quality stream, excellent customer support
If using on Windows or Mac, you will need to download a file to install the Nozomi player onto your computer

ITVJP
Premium package (81 Channels) includes Fuji TV, BS Fuji and CS Fuji TV TWO
1 Month for $20 USD + 8% transaction fee = $21.60 (I was charged an extra $1.08 fee on top of the 8%, $22.68 USD total)
If purchasing with PayPal, payment must be sent using Friends and Family method
I used this service to watch Kinoshita Group Cup and unfortunately experienced intermittent buffering and other stability issues with the stream

Himawari
No longer compatible with PC or Mac computers
Himawari Plus (97 Channels) includes Fuji TV, BS Fuji and CS Fuji TV TWO
Service not available in Japan and Mainland China
3 Day Test $4.60 USD
7 Day Plan $9.20 USD

Kaeri TV
Kaeri TV Plus (90 Channels) includes Fuji TV, BS Fuji and CS Fuji TV TWO
3 Day Trial $3 USD (Must be purchased along with a Monthly or Yearly Plan)
Monthly Plan $26 USD ($18.25 per month if you purchase a Yearly Plan)
After the 3 Day Trial period is over you will automatically be charged for the Monthly (or Yearly) Plan until cancelled
(Cancellation is not as easy as stated. I had to contact customer support in order to cancel my subscription)
High quality streams but pricey
Like Nozomi, Kaeri TV installs a video player onto your computer
After purchasing, you may need to wait awhile to receive the Kaeri ID and default password for set up (site says it should be sent within 24 hours)
With Nozomi and Himawari, emails containing necessary info is sent almost immediately after purchase
I personally use Himawari because it can be downloaded onto an Amazon Fire Stick. There's some good step-by-step instructions on how to do that on Himawari's website if using a Fire Stick is an option for you.

Also, some services may give you an email promising a "special gift" after signing up. This is not spam; this contains the code needed to access the service.

I'm fearful that these numbskulls at NBC are planning the same mishmash they enacted at SA with 50 million ads interspersed with horrible T,T&J plus GabPap commentary, and skaters perfs and kiss 'n cry segments cut out. 😭 We all need to message Peacock and U.S. fed in advance expressing our dismay and disgust!!! 🤢🤮

We want the option of complete U.S. Nats coverage with ad-free streams! I will forego any commentary, tho' I'd love if they'd allow Jean-Luc to do full U.S. Nats world-feed streaming commentary!
Even worse is the separation of individual event performances due to tv coverage needs! Apparently, every discipline in the free skate/ FD segments will be broken up, with a first group going earlier in the day and a part 2 group covered later on, interrupted in the middle by a different discipline. 🙄😵‍💫 :palmf:

In the words of Nancy Kerrigan: 'WHYYYY??!!!' 😭

OMG, I can't wait till the Olympic season is over and hopefully we can go back to figure skating being largely ignored and treated as an afterthought. Hopefully, they will let us go back to having uninterrupted streaming coverage of Skate America and U.S. Nationals!!! 😫😢

Does anyone know where to find the planned program content? I have not been able to find it on the USFS website. Thanks!

I believe Ben did it last year? I could be wrong though.

Someone was watching today on Discord. @Karoltyna

So does that mean Peacock put those tiles up--presumably allowing saving--then removed them?
I don't know why you're having trouble finding them. I actually had only put the junior SP in there and was able to save the FS a little while ago after realizing I hadn't done that when I was bookmarking things the other day.

I have information on how to access US Nationals if it doesn't get posted in its own thread.
My information is based on what worked last year. I condensed the instructions and added the schedules.

From our threads...
If you still have a Japanese VPN, JSports On Demand has live coverage of all events. (I don't know how difficult the process is for registering for JSports on Demand; I haven't tried it before.) If you still have access to a Japanese TV service, the JSports 4 channel will have live coverage of the men's and women's events. Sadly, the pairs and ice dance competitions will only be aired on TV about two weeks after US Nationals ends. The full schedule of coverage may be found here and here.

Also, as I mentioned on post #11 of this thread, you can watch the singles events live if you subscribe to a Japanese TV service and click on the JSports 4 channel.

False Rumors from last year: Unfortunately, the TV APP (which worked fine last year) appears to be georestricted this year. Posters reported that - I’m in Canada and am able to see TheTVApp USA Network live steam app. At least I’ll be able to see some of the pairs and women. It isn’t geoblocked.
I have a guide to Nozomi over on the Japanese Nationals threads. There is a curve to using the interface but if I can do it, so can others. JSports On Demand is just another channel and you can re watch for 2 weeks.

Walk me through how I can do this, though? Will this service be offering full coverage though? Any closed-caption English translation of the commentary?

Forget it, if JSports 4 is only covering singles U.S. Nats events.
See my post # 36 IIRC

Looks like no Peacock tiles for Senior Women Free Group 2&3 or Senior Men Free Group 2&3. Will those be put on NBCSports.com or something? Seems odd to not put the top singles LPs online anywhere.

There's one that says Pairs, W Free Skate: Group 2, starting at 8pm EST Jan 9th.

There's one that's labeled wrong with W Free Skate and Free Dance rather than the men that starts at 6pm EST Jan 10th.
