Yep. Only one. Whatever Roman did this year to improve his consistency and performance scores is something he needed to do last year in order to get that second spot for the Olympics unfortunately.

Cripes, the way he (and everyone else) skated last year, we were just hoping he’d make the long and get the one spot

Actually, he has very, very little speed. That's part of the issue - he tends to crawl across the ice, and has very very little flow out of his jumps. He disguises it with a lovely position and extension on the landings, but he is not fast.

I'll forgive him since he did a very nice version that had enough meaning to give us this really nice skate.

Wesley's artistry has improved so much during his injury rehab. I think his lack of competition reps probably hurt him here with the jumps, but he has shown a lot of growth and will certainly be a force to be reckoned with in the next quad.
