This pairs competition is going to be thrilling for U.S. fans. If Cam and O'shea beat at least somebody, that will take the pressure off Amber Glenn.

It’s thrilling for fans of the Japanese skaters too. Depending on how everything goes, I may need a paper bag by the time Sato takes to the ice.

I don't really care about which teams who medal. But there are lots of skaters I like skating tonight.

Weird having just two pairs warm up. Really hope that skating in the first group doesn't hurt the canadians...

I think this is one of those times when the Canadians could really put together a solid skate that deserves to move them up- hopefully the judges would be willing. Of course it's going to be hard for them to place higher than the Italians coming to japanese, or Georgians... although we have seen some pretty crazy meltdowns from the georgians, and they looked pretty sketchy on their lift in the short program...
