Doubled the toe loop in the double axle triple dough combo, but man, she is filling up this ice like nobody else here. Only she amongst all the competitors can maintain this degree of flow from corner to corner, side to side, using all the ice surface in her choreography. Wow, that is so very clear in this scaled-down women's competition. I don't know if I've ever really appreciated her ice coverage as much as in this program here at the Olympics - that was pretty remarkable.

Right. So Amber's teammates' gain an extra, unexpected point in pairs, which Amber goes out and proceeds to give up instead of capitalizing on. Why did they send Alysa out there in th we sp. Doesn't Alysa have better nerves to go in the fp? Better yet, if you didn't trust Amber to go in sp, why not send Isabeau in the sp and Alysa in the fp and allow Amber to get her nerves together to battle for the individual event. Wow!

Plus, Gubanova ain't all that. A bit overscored. Too bad for Lara Naki not doing her best, too at home venue.
Amber didn't do bad. Not skate she wanted

It looked amazing, but was it? She barely make it over Gubanova technical score.Making 3+2 and 2+2 is not the best thing.Still the grace on the ice is amazing.
Alysa may really need that 3A to beat her in the Olympic stage

I have no problem with Amber's score. I do have some issues with the lack of reviews on Gubanova 's jumps compared to the others. She really did not have the most rotated jumps today but the panel didn't call them or even review some..
They actually weren't as bad as normal. I was expecting some under rotations as well, but her jumps were surprisingly clean for Gubanova in this program
