Sorry, it's been a while. Forgot how to attach images with proper sizing on here.

This event has the potential to be very exciting, with lots of movement in the standings.

Excepting the Germans, they're pretty close in points even down to 10th place or so, and they all have essentially the same elements. Someone lower in the ranks could skate an absolute clean blinder, and ride that to a medal. Or at least to a much higher placement.

^^^ Yep, that could happen. I'm afraid to predict the outcome. This event could be volatile. I'll keep my wishes short. That all the teams from North America skate their absolute best.

Does anyone else score along with the competitions? I keep detailed spreadsheets of every competition lol but I was surprised at the rankings I ended up with yesterday. I had Sui and Han in second somehow.

My wish is that Minerva and Niki hold on to earn the win. I think they're a beautiful pair. I've been a fan of their brand of skating, particularly in the last year.

As you say, this could be volatile. Fingers crossed for everyone, but especially them.

Lighting my candles for Lia/Trennt and Deanna/Max. I hope that they can have skaters that they're proud of. It'll be a good experience for Lia and Trennt to build on, and they can see they can get into that final group of skaters in the short. And Deanna and Max may not have had the short they wanted, but getting here in itself is a victory.

Eh, that just means there weren't any big disasters.

I would not call it an especially well skated event. Nobody was spectacular. The top 5 in 2022 were all better than what was seen here.

Hase/Volodin were a bit overscored with their 80 but also something to remember is that the required lift in the SP this year is worth 2 points more than the required lift in 2022.
True. Apples and oranges in a number of ways. Maybe we always remember the good parts of the past in a golden light. I like Asian pairs.

Just 24 hours after we last saw them, the Pairs skaters are in action again.

Livestream for the Pairs FS is now on air.

The BBC don't tell us what they will be showing on each channel, or if it will include the skating. So I will hedge my bets and provide links to both broadcasts.
