What slightly bothers me about the Japanese pair: their programs never seem to reflect their personalities, but of their coaches. I feel like I've never gotten to know them.

To be fair, that is true for a lot of skaters/teams. Isabeau Levito is apparently extremely sassy, funny, and chaotic off-ice (she has been known to say some deeply inappropriate things that cannot be repeated here), but her programs are always lovely, elegant, and balletic. Likewise, Misha Shaidorov skates as a giant panda in his exhibitions but always does these serious, dramatic programs in competition.

Clean Germans will win,but even if K/M win the event its okay.They deserved it overall for this year.

I must stop comparing scores, true. That LP from Aliona and Bruno was truly something very special.
I hope the final team won’t get intimidated by this score. I like a lot the German team. I hope they skate clean, I really do!

Maria's and Alexei's jumps are so consistent, clean and strong

P/S consistent and strong on their tech as ever, while I am yet to fall in love with their skating this skate could get them a medal

That was really fantastic from Maria and Alexei! I could totally see that program challenging for a medal if two of the top three aren't clean, they have improved so much as skaters and as a team on top of their already-wonderful elements. And honestly, I would love that for them, they have been the perpetual fourth-place team forever but have really stepped up their game this season to try and push for the podium.
