I'm not an Ami fan. Very very simple programs full of crossovers and smiling. But, you can't deny the jump quality usually but not today. The 3A was great. Her other jumps were a bit off imho. Still likely enough to win. I preferred Kaori and Amber tonight...

Well, that was a surprise--not the podium, really, just the order as the judges saw it! I've gotta hand it to the top 13-14 women here--this was a great skating event! A few falls, a few messy jump landings but nothing dreadful like what happened in the Men's final. Even the lower-ranked women did quite well. I am impressed!

I only hope that Kaori isn't too disappointed with her silver medal.

Absolutely deserved gold for Alysa but I am gonna crawl under a rock and cry for Kaori. The judges were ready to give it to her. A frickin 2T after the second 3F would have been enough. Skating gods really hated this Olympics, heartbreak after heartbreak. Aaarrrgghhh soooo close!
