WHAT THE HELL?!?!?!
Got it; will watch!Wait for Mao Shimada. She beat constantly Nakai as Juniors. She was too young for this Olympics but she is unbeatable as a Junior for 2-3 years now. Also she beat Nakai at Sr Japan Nationals.
I hope that you're right!I think Shimada being in Juniors way past when she should have been is partly why she hasn't progressed enough. When you are winning everything and not being challenged you stagnate. She will be pushed next season to be much better and know what she has to work on when she finally goes against the Senior Ladies.
If she only had been clean in the Short...we'll never know...And Amber climbs from 13 to 5th w the highest tech score!!!
She cares about giving an entertaining performance I think. They interviewed her on Aussie TV and she said something to the effect of “My Olympics is not over yet, wait for the Gala.” She wants to show us what she works on is the impression I get.Alysa possesses the very unique ability to care about her skating but not let the pressures impact her ability to perform. Some say she "doesn't care" but I don't see that. Her motivation is very much an internal joy that she earns through hard work and practice. It's not to say that she is not infallible nor are her skills or artistry perfect. But she is able to often put out a complete joyous performance that she has very much been a part of in not only execution but creation. I won't be surprised if she says goodbye to skating (for now) and finds some other passion. Amazing young woman. (Alysa, I would stick around for a little while and cash in on the ice shows and endorsements! )

That ability to ignore external pressure and stay within yourself is a priceless gift. If Alyssa could bottle it, she'd be a gazillionaire!Alysa possesses the very unique ability to care about her skating but not let the pressures impact her ability to perform. Professional? Like pay them? Do they not already?Maybe if they decide to have professional judging in Figure Skating
less stuff like that would happen.
So brazen to judge like that at the Olympic games.
That’s the thing, I’d say he usually has one.Ironic contrast with IliaMaybe he should also adopt a bit of a idgaf attitude, haha.
If they still had professional skating comps and shows (outside of the yearly Stars on Ice), she would be a star. She really likes to entertain! She cares about giving an entertaining performance I think. I bet the gold dress really was planned, she knew she was going to the Olympics, she would not have returned exactly a year before in readiness if the Olympics were not so close.Ironically Alysa with her “don’t care” attitude, gave the media exactly what it’s been wanting and pressuring countless hopefuls to deliver. That program, the gold dress, the easy breezy skate……that’s the script mainstream media has been pushing! She’s something special for sure!!!!!!
