They are very interesting but with my old age sleep drugs, I didnt get up. Plus I have seen them before. There is, However, a comet coming by (if it survives the sun without coming apart, in early April. ) It is just possible that it will be a daylight comet...
My apartment windows all face NE. I saw what looked like a full moon around midnight (skies usually cloudy with rain here so a bright moon really catches the eye). But I forgot there was going to be anything else happening so, as usual, I missed it. Probably won't see the comet either. I guess I need my grandfather. He'd been in the merchant navy in his youth, and after settling on land with a family, he'd get my father out of bed at night and carry him outside wrapped in a blanket to observe anything uncommon happening.
