Big thanks! I use my desktop about 95% of my time on GS, and I'm glad to see I can keep editing my posts and updating my OPs easily like before!

You can change the font using the keyboard. Ctrl + makes it bigger and Ctrl - makes it smaller.

I've tried that, but the side column would only disappear if I made my font humongous which means 1 post took my entire screen and that made the viewing experience even worse. Anyway, I'm glad the issue is resolved now

Sorry I saw your previous post late, but I'm on MacBook Pro 14 inch if that helps. Can confirm the sidebar is now gone from the thread view and the smilies button is back on the main buttons strip. Thank you for everything you do in running this forum

I think this goes with the topic of sidebars.

With the recent spotlights on skaters, I noticed on my phone that it's taking up about half my screen when the page loads. I've attached a screenshot of the New Posts page. Could that feature be arranged so it isn't disruptive for viewing on mobile?

@saine this will appear at the top on mobile because folks do not see the sidebar on mobile unless they scroll all the way down. We are implementing new ways of engagement after a review

I'll be honest, if the first item I see when I'm looking at the new posts page is a spotlight that takes up half the screen on my phone, I am less likely to engage with the site entirely. Especially if it is on every page.

I understand wanting to try new ways of engagement, but this may not work the way it is intended on mobile.
