Totally agree - I wonder if even moving to IAM Ontario would be better for them, where they could get some more attention from the coaching staff and have a friendly rivalry with CPom. The 4 of them are friends as it is, so it could be good for them.

I think this may have been good a couple days ago.. but considering ice dance in canada is disintegrating at light speed, I feel that IAM Montreal may now get the hint and invest on the mid tier level Canadian dancers... They just lost two young teams and London lost a very experienced and together for 15 years team. I feel that it's going to be a season of try-outs and experimenting... so perhaps LaLa could benefit from staying put.

Omg this one hurts me too!! I LOVED their Blues for Klooks so much. When I heard about Alicia and Paul, I thought to myself okay well at least we have Lily and Nathan as a potential number 2 or 3 couple after LaLa if Marie-Jade and Romain retire.
What is happening in Canadian ice dance?! My heart is broken. I hope Nadiia and Noe are able to make leaps and bounds over the next couple of years.

same reaction. I thought immediately of Lily and Nathan... and now, I just cannot unseen Lily and Paul together.. but yeah... I am heartbroken. I have a thick skin for juniors retiring and splitting as well as a very thick skin for all stars great retiring... I need to develop one for in the middle of their career, about to make a move, thicker skin.

I’m happy for them to stay in Montreal but only if they get the focus they need. I had hoped as the Canadian number one team now (assuming P2 retire) that Patch and MF would do what they can to move them up the ranks, but I worry with FBC, F/G, L/B, S/D ahead of them at both Olympics and Worlds, they may get lost in the pack.
Saying all that - the last two seasons have been tough for LaLa - first with Marjo’s concussion and losing prep time and this year they had to change both their FD and RD music because they weren’t working - so I’m hoping if they actually get some good programmes and stay healthy, they’ll return to past form like when they were 5th at Montreal Worlds.

I'm really sad about Hana Yoshida's retirement. I was hoping next season would be her redemption season

Lily and Paul is interesting.... Because first people seem to believe that Sandrine and Paul would pair up but Sandrine put her profile on IPS today so I guess we can conclude she is not partnering up with Paul. This could very well explain the two splits with a partner swap, and then G/T being the more random split. This could somehow make sense with why there are so many splits at once.

I couldn't work it out either. But then I saw one of the other posts on her Instagram page had them standing beside the 4 Nationals logo.
They are actually from your country!

Bronze Medallists this year (2nd Czech partnership), having been overall 
Silver Medallists last year (1st Czech partnership), and overall 
Gold Medallists the year before (1st Czech partnership).Perhaps that explains them splitting...

i don't remember their outfit, and winning is going to be tough, buy maybe a nomination is doablewell... I hope they get honoured in the famous awards... bombastic costume for the win.

NO... why did I check this thread today.. I loved their fd this season, such a special team together. Canada ice dance is going to look so different next season especially since like what 10/15 junior teams at Nationals split as well.
