2025-26 Retirements, Splits and New Partnerships

She is for sure, but I feel that way about Emmy. I adored her on the Junior Circuit and think she has so much talent and promise. I really wished she and Aïssa could have stayed together.
Emmy may have retired in a low-profile way. She did solo dance for a couple years but this year, no news. :(

Athena Roberts & Eric Alis (ESP, ice dance) have split. According to Hielo Español they’re both looking for new partners, and she plans to represent Philippines.

Sofia Pascual & Sergio Parra (ice dance, junior) have also split. He’s looking for a partner, she’s planning to do solo dance.

So, has she already found someone there? Why else would you move?

I checked her Instagram post. She said she was looking for a new partner so she hasn't found one yet. She was born in the US, so my guess is that she's moving since she would need to find another Spanish partner to keep representing Spain. It's probably going for the country she has eligibility for that has less domestic competition (assuming she has dual citizenship.)

I was also thinking about that, but they only said that she has recently obtained the Filipino nationality. I don’t know if the Philippines have any ice dance couples right now or if someone there was looking for a partner.

Sadly, Spain seems to have an additional split-up in ID as well:

Translation:
The junior dance pair Sofía Pascual & Sergio Parra (Valdemoro Ice Team) is also splitting up. Sergio is looking for a new partner to compete with. For her part, Sofía plans to focus on solo dance and, later on, return to dance.

damn I thought you were about to make it 3 new partnerships in a row... to make this thread more fun to read .. you did good though, with two consecutive good news :)

How many partners has Danny N had? Seems like every year he's skating with someone different.

Estonian dance team Ksenia Sipunova / Miron Korjagin have split
