I wonder what that means for GPdF, FFSG hasn't posted anything yet. Since half of the GPs have not announced any dates yet, anything can happen 😂
And also the statement from USFS says that this will be the fifth GP. Angers would have been the fourth though...at least according to what was on the website of the Finnish fed...confusing

So far we have three GPs announced:
Skate America oct 22-25, Everett, Washington
Skate Canada International oct 30- nov 1, Kelowna, BC
GPdF Angers Nov 13-15

(I assumed that GPdF would be second to last but that won't work...assuming SkAm is the first GP...)

Weekends without a GP so far - possible dates for NHK:
(Oct 16-18)
Nov 6-8
Nov 20-22
Nov 27-29

If they want a gap between the last GP and the Final, the Final would have to take place in the second week of December...

But like I said, that only works if SkAm is the first GP. Maybe there'll be one before that...

I was able to change my room dates and I will be back from my cruise on the 18th to by tickets. What makes me mad is that they KNEW about this FUBAR when they canceled ticket sales and didn't tell us at that time. Stuff happens, but you don't keep your fans in the dark and feed them compost unless they are mushrooms. Badly done, USFS.

This all has been badly done and keeping fans in the dark isn't adding to anyone's credibility.

Hi, early season confusion. I just saw a facebook post with Grand Prix France Oct 23-26. I think Skate Americas at one point was the same date. Anybody have official dates? and thank you from France

Finland has removed the page linked before. On a new one they have are only domestic and confirmed competitions (Edit) nog other GPs but Finland is still there and dates are now November 20th-22th, which means three-days-competion from Friday to Sunday.

FFSG has posted an update on their instagram. GPdF will take place October 23-25.
It's scheduled as the first GP. So SkAm is the FOURTH GP, not the fifth as stated by USFS...
The USFS announcement said that this year’s SkAm will be the fifth one held in Washington State. It did not say that SkAm would be fifth in this year’s Grand Prix series.

The USFS announcement said both.
Near the end of the announcement for 2026 Skate America: "This will be the second consecutive year the event will be the fifth of six stops in the Grand Prix Series."
This sentence appears after the schedule information.
(Perhaps the author of the announcement got confused because in 2025-26, the GP series started earlier, and ended earlier, vs. 2026-27.
Skate America dates were Nov 14-16 in 2025, and will be Nov 13-15 in 2026.)

Any word on why SA is changing dates with the French for the 2nd year in a row? This is getting to be a habit.
I do think that USFS and/or the ISU should explain the reason(s) for the date change, especially since the date and location was not announced all that long ago and in fact, tickets for SA were originally slated to go on sale in March. This has to be a very recent decision.

I’m sure I’m not the only one who was planning to attend both SA and SCI when they were scheduled to be held in the Pacific Northwest in consecutive weeks. The SA date change has made that impossible.

Sorry to be cynical but perhaps the USFS gets confused due to their inability to keep and retain competent people who know what they are doing. I remember a person there who did a great job helping out us donors with issues, questions, etc....he left for a job at a zoo IIRC. The staff was also downsized.

Hints for buying tickets for SA. Got my two tickets for SA through the presale for donors. I only made one mistake. You will be offered a selection of seats but you can ignore them, zoom in on the seat map, and pick them that way. My seat mate wanted row two so I got that but if I had known about ignoring the offered tickets, I could have gotton an aisle seat. Oh well, we are seat 3 and 4. It will be through ticketmaster so already be logged into your account. There will be an 8 min countdown timer so have that credit card info ready. In my case, it was auto filled in. If you want 2 seats, that is your first hoop, then most expensive or most cheepest is the second hoop, then ignore offered seats and zoom in on the map. Donors have today for presale, fan list has tomorrow, everyone else has a chance on Thursday. It is unclear to me what the big greyed out box is at the bottom of 108.
