I’m watching the press conference live. I didn’t expect that. What a wonderful surprise. I honestly thought they were going to announce they were engaged. I really hope they have a competition in America. I would 100% go to it.

I'm so happy My first experiment in manifesting reality has gone well so far . . . just kidding. I know I can't claim credit! I'm 1000% onboard with cheering for Marin & Shoma every step of the way and therefore it is time for me to learn how to watch small domestic competitions. My three wishes are 1. Marin & Shoma reach their goal of the 2030 Olympics 2. I would like them to reach or exceed Kana & Daisuke's high point of #11 in the World 3. I wish for them to have fun and compete for as long as they are having fun!

Wonderful news! I was hoping for this but due to his gaming career, their possible private life plans and the challenges in ice dancing I thought it would never happen. So glad they fell in love with ice dance too!

I hope they go back to Switzerland to train with Stephane. Maybe Shoma’s personal trainer he had before will come back to help them too.

I am flabbergasted to be honest. I thought Shoma was done with competing. It will be great to see Shoma again but it's going to be a tough task.

I love the way that Shoma and Marin spoke about each other during the press conference, so much support from both sides. They clearly understand how difficult this will be and are ready to work hard. I wish them all the luck and am so happy to see Shoma compete again.

Ok rabidline what is going on here with Shomarin at IAM?? I just saw a clip on X of them practicing twizzles and it was insanely good. I have heard the rumors but tbh discarded them but why would they travel to IAM unless…..

Now we know! I think this might be the clip you saw. I pounced when I saw it on YouTube and I was also really impressed. I've watched ice dance for a little longer than singles skating, but I still can't call myself an expert. While Shoma probably doesn’t take recommendations for games from fans I have a new one in mind for him that looks amazing and fun. 007 First Light. A different style of game fighting. Voice acting is great, graphics look awesome, story seems intriguing. It releases very soon.

OMG the memories... It's from Irina's drawing, but the concept was actually mine lol. I was working on my Oboe essay and thought it would he hilarious to draw Shoma as a statue in an art museum - and Irina kindly executed that wish.

Stephane brushing up Shomarin's choreography for RD and FD... looking forward to seeing the final version! And so excited for the ice dance comeback!
I just hope they edit their music cut in the Vivaldi/Richter FD though, because those cuts are nasty. Soooo curious about the waltz music, too. And whether they will be able to conquer the golden waltz pattern, haha.
