Hmm, but not coming from either Audrey or Spencer as an official announcement. And this may also not be a permanent training location for them either.

Plus, via a post from Irvine coaching staff (as mentioned in U.S. pairs thread), it looks like Katie McBeath is paired with Balazs Nagy, but there's no official announcement yet. Also, Liu/ Bedard were not pictured in the group photo and thus, they may be moving to new coaches (unconfirmed).

Now officially official - Julia Grabowski / Lukas Gneiding have formed a new pairs team for Germany



Julia was previously a singles skater, winning German Sr Nationals this season, while Lukas has competed on the JGP and medalled twice at Jr Nationals in pairs with two different partners in recent years.

That I didn't expect (is this crazy post Olympic split up period ever going to end?) as they were quite successful for a relatively new pair, and I had hoped for them to build on it. A pity.

OOooh I really liked the Icelandic pair I thought they had great promise and I had great hopes for them in the new quad. Such a shame. I hope both can find new partners and that Iceland continues to have a pairs team.

My partner said to me the other day: "Maybe we should forget about toying with the idea of adult competitions and just come out of retirement in the regular stream." I THINK he was joking (I told him to give Deanna a call. She might like the idea of a good experienced partner who's older than she is. And has Canadian citizenship already. )

I'm sad about this one, they were looking so nice together and imrpoving a lot, they were great at Europeans. It was nice to have pair representing Iceland. I wonder if Italian fed wanted him back with all the retirements and some talented pair girls looking for partners.

So happy that the rumour turned out to be true. After the unfortunate loss of two favourite teams – LaLa and Kaitlin/Jean-Luc – this is the best possible outcome!

But now we need to hear the confirmations of Lim/ Lagha and Fabbri/ Gaidajenko... Not to mention a bunch of new pairs partnering confirmations!
