Carolina's surname does sound aristocratic, doesn't it? But, I looked her up, and she is merely doing like the Spanish and using the surnames of both her parents: her Dad's surname is Portesi, and her Mum's surname is Peroni.
It's very possible she is from the Peroni beer family. Although people may be in the public eye, we don't always hear about their family connections. Hey, it was only a couple of years ago that I found out that one of my skating crushes, who had retired a few years earlier, is the grand-daughter of a famous Italian fashion designer who I had never heard tell of. (What do I know about fashion?!
)Incidentally, a member of the family that owned Belgian beer Stella Artois owns a motorbike racing team. And irony of ironies, for quite a few years the team ran in the livery of the alcohol free version of a Spanish beer that is one of Stella's main competitors!
(The reason being that Estrella Galicia is the personal sponsor of the team's then star rider).As for the Peroni brewery, their Nastro Azzurro beer was Valentino Rossi's main sponsor for much of his career. My Mum tried it, and she likes it. I don't drink, but I did buy a Nastro Azzurro Honda team hat to support Vale. And I also have a scale model of Valentino's 2001 World Championship winning Honda NSR500, which is in Nastro Azzurro livery.
Now you've got me wondering if any skaters are sponsored by beer companies...
(I have a feeling that Peroni's current owners, Japanese brewery Asahi, sponsor some of the Japanese skaters. But I don't know for sure).

Emily Chan and Spencer Akira Howe have split. As many already assumed.

It would only be those who haven't been paying attention this off-season who would be surprised about this split. 
Did Spencer announce a split yet, too, or he let Emily do it after we already saw the Monument rink post of Spencer with a different training partner?

OK - this makes me all kinds of happy. Best wishes to Emily and I hope she finds happiness either on the ice or off. And Spencer! My favorite. I look forward to whatever he brings us.... As for Katie and Balazs. I hope she has better luck with him than the last numerous partners he's had. Time to get it right.

Yes, I asked and found out the bottom section was Spencer’s words. Emily and Spencer did their statement together. They wanted to collab in their announcement. I know them personally and this was never planned, they were planning next steps right after the Olympics. They have been friends on and off the ice for many years and they continue to treat each other with the highest level of respect. Wishing both of them the best in their skating careers.

When I was in Cincinnati I read something regarding spoofing and spam re articles and things to be careful
Even though I didn't sign up for the forum
I did print up the results , and various paperwork that I read on figure skating from all countries and even a few forums came out in the news.
All I have to do go and compare
Especially if I believe I read something different
I am. Put in a different place or group
