When I see grocery store produce priced per pound, I wonder
Why they allowed such a thing, when it is actually Weighed and priced per kilogram at the checkout

(I think initially it was because of sticker shock, if prices appeared to double because the quantity involved doubled. If so, they should have allowed/required prices per 500g. Then it would be easy to compare the shelf price to the cash-register price by multiplying by 2)
