When I see grocery store produce priced per pound, I wonder
Why they allowed such a thing, when it is actually Weighed and priced per kilogram at the checkout

(I think initially it was because of sticker shock, if prices appeared to double because the quantity involved doubled. If so, they should have allowed/required prices per 500g. Then it would be easy to compare the shelf price to the cash-register price by multiplying by 2)

I do virtually all my grocery shopping online and have it delivered. SaveOnFoods uses grams and kilograms exclusively on its website. Don't know what it does in the store. I'm so seldom in it, and then I don't look at the shelf stickers, just grab what I'm looking for. With all my allergies, it's not as if I have the luxury of making a choice between brands according to their prices. If the ingredients list on only one brand meets my safe standards, then that's the one I have to buy.
