Word Association Again & Again!!!

^ I had to look that up for a description of what it meant.

simple
plain

(Not sure how commonly "straight-cut" is used in sewing, but my Scottish grandmother, a superb seamstress, used the word. I could also have said "as in French fries". Do packages describe frozen French fries as either crinkled or straight-cut in the US? They do up here.)

(I don't buy frozen French Fries, but i think both kinds are available here. I haven't seen the term "straight-cut" used for French Fries, though. Those would just be "plain' or "regular" cut French Fries, I guess.)
