Rusfed won't take any risks. The first two stages will be handed over to the leaders, and it's quite possible that the third stage will be lost, so at least one pair will be able to advance to the final.
It was officially confirmed today that a Russian sports pair has received one quote for the stage in Poland.

Sad, but there also was some rhythmic gymnastic competition in Poland with Russian participation a week or two ago. But yes, it is probably a safe way to send one team to two stages and then eventually try to give another pair the third entry if possible.

Ice skaters from both the main and reserve teams of the Russian national figure skating team have received applications for neutral status.
Those who were not included on the lists are currently unable to apply.
Participation in international competitions is regulated by the federation — it selects athletes based on their preferences, but also according to its own criteria.

So, they have an extra entry in pairs as per rules. I really hope they can go since any extra spot is wonderful.

Honestly, even Russian junior skaters repping the U.S. have had trouble with visa entry issues. Mark Zheltyshev was unable to compete (with partner, Jane Calhoun) at 2026 Junior Worlds, in Tallinn, Estonia, due to visa issues. Meanwhile, Daniil Veselukhin reportedly was able to enter the country with a biometric passport. It likely helped that Daniil and Hana were favored to win gold (and they did win gold).

Mishina & Galliamov, Boikova & Kozlovskii, Chikmareva & Ianchenkov — potential team (announced by the media) for the Japanese CS event.
So the best against the best ... but it's really necessary to send the 3 against each other (not that I don't love to see the probably 3 best pairs in the world competing).. they could send one of them to other CS event ( or the 3 were going to do all possible CS)?.. because japan isn't the place for personal best .. they already know that they are 0.001 from each other ... no need the pressure ... and before the test skates ...
In positive japanese people will cherish them ...
P.S: Any of them has the AIN status yet?

Tbh, I don't really understand doing this so they steal WS points from each other.
No senior teams have been added yet.
I think .. russia can send who ever they want in pairs.. the top 3 will belong to them .... yes probably they want to see if B/K can skate clean with M/G .. who the juries likes more .. and if the third pair can handle an international competition ...
It's like a 3A but in pairs .
There is any limited of participations in CS?
