I generally don't mind white costumes but I find the one Rion is wearing really disappears into the ice...maybe because of the pants?
I also thought you might think the pants looked a bit too suit like and restrictive
Rather than a pantsuit her costume looks like a dress over pant bottoms

Yes, the pants and the boots' covers make it wayt too much shiny white. Also, I think shiny white costume doesn't look good on dirty white ice. I remember Yuzu wore white costume for Prince and it made a huge impression but he changed it after 1 or 2 comps for purple because it was way too white. Purple was perfect and memorable.
As for Rion, I think pale green could work for this costume and program.

I love "Waloyo yamoni" (a music piece), it's so graceful and comforting. The main singer (man) has such a beatiful voice, I could listen to him for hours.
Mao did great (just some urs) but she's ready to go and its only August.

Huge thanks to tsuyoboogie and denise3lz for kindly sharing all the news and videos. I'm very grateful for all you already share, but may I also ask for Sae Shimizu's SP and FS, or at least the FS, because that sounds like a new program to me, if you can somehow find the time?

Japan has so many strong skaters, each with their unique attributes (many noted while reading your play by plays), and for Sae, I especially appreciate her grace and attention to choreographic details, so thank you for the good news that she's still competing, and fingers crossed for future opportunities to enjoy her skating.

And the isolated clips on X that loop does not convey the horror of seeing it happen without warning and at full speed and force

I'm sure he's bruised and incredibly sore but from the last we've heard from Kao, it seems he hasn't sustained any major injury from the fall
According to interviews and the small bit I'm getting from his KnC, he got new boots about two weeks ago and is still having issues with the right boot
If I understand correctly, he thinks the stability or stiffness of his right boot might have played a part in this "accident"
He also mentioned that his butt hurt so badly after the fall that he purposely popped his second 4T to avoid a chance of the same scenario happening
Praying he can put this incident behind him (or learn from it) and avoid yet another mental / emotional obstacle towards his full recovery
