Actually, they did sell some TV rights in Japan and Russia this year for the JGP.

I think in the rush they didn't bother applying the restriction that is blocking the other streams (in Japan by Asahi)

It was surprising. I forgot I had my VPN on Korean server to watch @Ichatdelune's wonderful stream link and got a geo-block message when I switched to the ISU stream until I turned off my VPN.
