Men's SP

Verner in 1st with 81.45. His new personal best I think...
Yes, it is. First time he's gone past 80.

Missed the first half of Joubert! Am so mad at myself!

ETA: watching the recap - his hair looks shorter and he looks healthier than in past events. It's good to see.

Another new PB, 86.90 - yay Brian!!!!!

And a John and Sinead closeup. This is a good day :)

Skating is now on YLE tv2 in Finland but its just showing the beginning of the second last group now so its delayed.

joubert did great. i dont think euros is giving any inflated scores. He got about an 86.5 at COR.I was expecting 90 here.

Me too actually, but I guess that his 3A only got 0 GOE, it was landed forward with zero flow.

Warm-up: KVDP can do a 3A out of nothing, he was basically standing on one spot and doing a 3A.

Why are they making these guys skate after joubert? That is cruel and unusual punishment.
Well, at least there's a warmup in between - I wouldn't want to follow a really good performance if I were a skater...

I have great hopes for Yannick Ponsero. Please deliver, Yannick!

ETA: Nope.:frown:

Darn I missed Brian and Tomas. Sounds like they were both on with those
high scores.
