Lisa Marie Allen. She was a rival of Linda Fratiane. National Silver Medalist (IIRC) 1978-1980.

Him or Dai. If Chan thinks he can win Olys with a base mark under 70, he's delusional, even if the judges do love him.
Now that would be competition worth watching. Not that off-rink girly bickering ala Patrick Chan.
Reporters probably ask Patrick 'what do you think about Brian's comments about...' and he answers honestly. A lot of us think the same things and a lot think the same as Brian. He's asked a question and answers honestly as he sees fit. I don't see him as a gloater. I see him as someone who is proud and amazed by his accomplishments and takes it in stride.
I think Brian would have learned to tone down after last year? I felt so bad for him. He looked so upset and disappointed at the end.
Let's just hope Chan doesn't gloat. Things might get nasty.
This is not about taking care of anyone - it's about having an Olympic champion skate a complete program. In Chan's last two events his base mark was under 70. I don't think that should be enough to win anything, even if you have lots of transitions. Now Dai has to take care of Chan? Brian couldn't, and Dai can?
I wonder if Lambiel also reconsider retirement after tonight icecapades of competition.

We have no reason to believe otherwise, From what we have seen Chan will go again with his psychic warfare. to some extent i think Joubert was effected by this and that could explain watered down program.
Well it's not like Patrick won either. I don't know why Joubert watered down. He should have never been going for a double axel. Joubert needs to start going all out, period.
What a comeback: no GPF, third at US Nats, and now World champion. Good for him. .

Personally, I prefer Brian to Dai, but if Dai brings it, by all means let him win. It'll be a great comeback story.![]()
Did anyone else think that Joubert's problem was that he came in undertrained?
I did not write that. I said I think he or Plushenko might do well. Don't attribute stuff to me that I didn't say. Of course I'd rather have Joubert win it, but I'm a fan of Joubert and of great figure skating, and to me Chan's skating is not great, so I'd prefer other people on the podium. You prefer Brian but Dai's got to do the job. For the sake of a great comeback story? Interesting.
