Mens' LP

Now that would be competition worth watching. Not that off-rink girly bickering ala Patrick Chan.

Oxade21 once again you hit the nail right on the head BRAVO!!!!!

VIVE BRIAN JOUBERT- This shall not break you, it will only make you stronger!!!!

Reporters probably ask Patrick 'what do you think about Brian's comments about...' and he answers honestly. A lot of us think the same things and a lot think the same as Brian. He's asked a question and answers honestly as he sees fit. I don't see him as a gloater. I see him as someone who is proud and amazed by his accomplishments and takes it in stride.

Chan, a pretentious brat.

I can't help but think about all those voodoo dolls being made now in the rest of the world...

I think Brian would have learned to tone down after last year? I felt so bad for him. He looked so upset and disappointed at the end.

Let's just hope Chan doesn't gloat. Things might get nasty.

We have no reason to believe otherwise, From what we have seen Chan will go again with his psychic warfare. to some extent i think Joubert was effected by this and that could explain watered down program.

Now Dai has to take care of Chan? Brian couldn't, and Dai can?
This is not about taking care of anyone - it's about having an Olympic champion skate a complete program. In Chan's last two events his base mark was under 70. I don't think that should be enough to win anything, even if you have lots of transitions.

Personally, I prefer Brian to Dai, but if Dai brings it, by all means let him win. It'll be a great comeback story. :)

Well it's not like Patrick won either. I don't know why Joubert watered down. He should have never been going for a double axel. Joubert needs to start going all out, period.

I can't say that it was not fair or that Evan is not true champion... No, today he desereved the title! But just because of Brian's fall... I'm just trying to say that it is not good for sport and we don't see mens skating progress. Remember Plushenko, Yagudin... I don't think Evan or Patrick could beat them. And they will not because Plushenko will be back even stronger than he was I'm sure!

Oh, I'm missing Lambiel too...

That's what Tarasova was telling him. NEVER CHANGE. LOL.

What a comeback: no GPF, third at US Nats, and now World champion. Good for him. .

No GPF, lost national title, second at 4cc and now world champion.

This reminds me of last season’s Jeffrey Buttle.

Congratulations to all the medallists !

Thank you Evan for getting 3 spots for US.

Did anyone else think that Joubert's problem was that he came in undertrained? He just got slower and slower (just like Vernor  ) until he pooped out completely at the end and could only rotate a double Axel about 1.5 times.

The other thing -- Brian -- this is the World Championship! What are you saving yourself for, the Team Championship thing next month? Bring it! Skate your program. Don't punk out when it is time for a 4S and try to make up for it with a half-***** double Axel at the end.

Well, Brian has been struggling with a lot of injuries this year, so that might explain the fact that he's undertrained.

You prefer Brian but Dai's got to do the job. For the sake of a great comeback story? Interesting.
I did not write that. I said I think he or Plushenko might do well. Don't attribute stuff to me that I didn't say. Of course I'd rather have Joubert win it, but I'm a fan of Joubert and of great figure skating, and to me Chan's skating is not great, so I'd prefer other people on the podium.

Mathman, Joubert may have been undertrained for a full LP. He had tendinitis in this knee earlier this month and WD from the Challenge Cup for medical reasons. I don't know how and if this affected him. And one thing landing jumps in practice and another doing them as part of an LP. But I agree he needs to stop with the 2As.
