Caroline Zhang's 2009-10 season

Really? AFAIK, Jenny Kirk has never had a lesson from Charlene Wong, and neither have any of the FSU posters who say she isn't a technical coach. So I wonder what they are basing that on?

Many of the La posters who are talking about Charlene though have seen Charlene coaching in action, so that gives them an idea.

Surely a lucky girl, just in time for the show! And these skates could easily be the most expensive item in her luggage!

If the thief had known the skates belonged to a famous skater, he could have sold them on ebay.

Better yet, keep them until after the Olympics, then if Caroline medals...

intentionally selling stolen goods? that's basically looking for trouble:laugh:

How did Brittney Rizo do?

Did you pay extra for the meet and greet, or did you have connections?

Any and all details of the show will be most appreciated!

I've been away from my computer for a while; busy day. Caroline skated 2 programs; the lullaby and On My Own. Brittney Rizzo did very well also, but only skated once.

I have almost an hour of lousy video and 30 excellent still photographs I'm wading through. When I get the mess sorted out, I will post a long-winded review. Basic tickets were $10. VIP tickets were $30 for on-ice seats and the meet and greet. You got dinner and a chance to meet the skaters.

What a great deal!!! I paid a fortune (very harsh on the checkbook) for the Skate for the Heart show in Chicago this September and still will need "connections" to get into meets and greets. Can't wait for updates!!

The only connections I had were in my wallet. It was an interesting meet-and greet. I'm working on my review right now. I'll try to get it up later today. Pictures will come later.

By the way, I didn't see a single mule-kick.

On Saturday, I believe that she at least two triple loops and one triple salchow for each program. During "On My Own" she did a quadruple jump combo which I believe was a triple loop double toe, double toe double loop. Anyone else who was there, please let me know if I was correct in this assessment. I so didn't expect it that I wasn't watching that carefully. No axels, no toepick jumps.

And yes, she looked tall. At the end, she was standing next to Shnapir of Castelli and Shnapir who is 6'4" and she came up to his shoulder. She looked as though she is somewhere between 5"3 and 5"4"

Aww Caroline protected her Twitter updates. :frown:

Thanks to the idiots who berated a 16-year-old for mildly venting her frustration on her own site. I know these haters are not getting upset on behalf of the BPD, but rather have their own hateful agenda.

I'm not sure her updates are protected for me, though. I can still see her replies even though the padlock icon is everywhere. If the user's site is protected, shouldn't you not be able to see any replies and instead see a big message saying "This user's updates are protected"?

because there are some jerks like "wkw32" and "tibby17"
@carolinezhang You're lucky the police looked for your skates after you call them useless. You think they have nothing more important to do?"

tibby17
@carolinezhang I hope you at least thanked the USELESS police for finding your skates. Their jobs are busy, hard & dangerous & you complain?

thank so much for the review! I wish i got to meet her.

Caroline skated two routines; the lullaby and On My Own. I did not see a single mule-kick./QUOTE]

Probably because she did not try any flips or lutzes. If she was not really comfortable on the ice due to her lost skates it is doubtful she would attempt her more difficult jumps for a show.

You should seriously tell Caroline to drop by Golden Skate. Tell her she has a 34-page thread going, with 500 posts -- almost all of them good -- and 20,000 views.

If popularity on GS is a guide, the winners at Vancouver will be Caroline and Plushenko. ;)
