I'm amazed that the order of skate is not yet on the ISU's website. After all, this starts in 6 hours.

sk8ingphan, Welcome to Golden Skate and thank you for the two articles!

Post long, post often!

That's a lovely picture of Dylan and Kristin in the second article.

I read the articles with interest, thanks :) How did Moscovitch do earlier with his sister Kyra?

They were on the National Team for a couple years.

ETA: It will be interesting to see how S/S do. I wonder how polished their new program can be. Hoping for a better outing this time than at TEB. I think Pairs is going to be a great competition here as well as at the Olympics!

The results seem obvious, but one never know, do one.

S&S to make up for the last showing.
M&T to do battle with
D&D and watching out for

Denney and Barrett

^ I hope so too. Especially for Langlois and Hay. Their 'Fascination' SP is lovely!

I haven't seen the new pair before, but I really liked seeing him and his sister skate together a couple of years ago.

Thanks for the welcome. I watched the pairs practice at Skate Canada today. Dylan looked strong, but Kirsten had a fall and popped a couple of her jumps during the free program practice. Hopefully she can pull it together for the short program tomorrow. All the other pairs looked in top form.

If you had any observations on D/D I would love to hear them

They only practiced their free program and left out most of their jumps and lifts, so it's hard to say. But even under those conditions the emotional connection in their free program blew the crowd away. Tomorrow should be incredible.

Fantastic! Thanks for the report! I absolutely cannot wait for the competition to start

Yes, their choreography seems much improved, but it's hard to tell what the complete package will look like without seeing a full run that includes jumps and lifts. At this stage my money is still on D/D to win the FP. I think D/D will come out on top if they can skate two clean programs.

I wish I could watch the short live but I am going to catch it when it is broadcast on CBC this afternoon! I want to see D/D's long so bad that I might even make a trip to Canadians to see it  Good luck to all the pairs! Here's hoping for a great competition.
