Any Sasha updates?

Not only did Sasha compete at Nationals, but she made the Olympic team.

I think I smell a jury-rig in process.

Miki is talented but she has never been so amazing. She is a great jumper but I think Irina exceeds her in that area. Well, I think Irina is most technically brilliant . I think Cohen is more artistic than Miki. Miki is trying to become artistic but I feel she just tries too hard; it doesn't come naturally to her as for some other skaters. This is just my opinion though, so don't hate on me Miki fans
(Oh, I should clarify that my nickname Miki has no relation to the skater; it's an old nickname of mine^^. Don't want to seem like I am a hypocritic fan ^^)

Miki is a nice skater and a nice girl.
If you have a problem talk to Morozov OK.
Personally I think Miki and Rachael - without 3x3 are just average type skaters. Not very good posture, not very musical, not very nice positons.......

When they are on and hitting all their jumps there is something exciting about them I guess - but just not my cup of tea.

I prefer Laura's artistry and style even if her jumps aren't alway there.

I can't wait until US Nationals is over.:disapp: Then we can finally stop analyzing Sasha and the will she/won't she and we can stop comparing scores and performances that happened in 2006 with those of today!

I don't understand. Where's the fun in that?!? Aren't you excited about Canadian Nationals and who will make the team and how that will compare internationally? All we have to judge the US Comeback Diva on is 2006. We can't make up competitions, can we? :scratch:

You will have two amazing Olympic teams in Men's and Dance! Why don't you get excited about those? You could have two men on the Olympic podium as well as two ice dance teams! No other country can say that! Figure skating is not all about the women!

(including myself...I seriously could care less what happens in the other disciplines, especially men's...I'm not watching any of this weekend's Natls coverage)

Miki still does 3lz-3lo in practice a lot and it always looks beautiful! I think she is a great skater! She and Joannie may be mostly power jumpers but they are still great to watch?

I like Miki's 3 Loop :yes:

Her 3x3 has been MIA this season but maybe she will bring it to Vancouver. Without it I don't know if she will make the podium if Mao and Joannie skate well.

But I won't count her out because she does have the talent to pull off a prettty good skate. But bringing up her quad - that sounds like one of your dreams......

Which will be decided at US Nationals - hence the name. Where Sasha's comeback will take place and whose return amps up the excitement! Yay!

I wasn't aware I needed permission as to where my excitement about Nationals should come from. How about this - you tell me who and what to cheer for and I will spend tomorrow posting on those threads...does that work? May I now return to discussing Sasha and how she may or may not stack up against the other US ladies, Miki Ando, the KWEEN, and whatever else pops up in this thread... that is focused on the ladies compeition, specifically Nationals and Sasha's comeback?

Miki just said in an interview that Morozov did not want her doing 3x3.
That would be the facts direct from Miki.
Maybe it will change but as of two weeks ago at Natls where Miki dropped to 4th she was not doing a 3x3.

What is up with Morozov always playing it safe. Shizuka and Miki are two of the best 3/3 jumpers in ladies history and he has them watering down their programs. He may have gotten one Olympic champ that way but I would not count on there being another. Call me crazy but I like seeing skaters risk it and go for the harder stuff. That is what made Sarah and Tara a cut above the rest. If they had been conservituve, nobody would really remember their names.

You have some very good American pairs teams actually! M/B are improving nicely and I really like C/O
