The people at german broadcaster ARD are real professionals. While the FS is rolling they show first a medal ceremony without german participation, then a report about elder athletes' successes in Sochi. Then they remember there is a figure skating competition planned for today and show Witt's old FS from 1988. Next a report about the Kerrigan/Harding incident and an interview with Witt. And while the Great Mao Asasa performs the comeback of the evening including the last Ladies's Triple Axel for maybe many years, they show a report about a german Ski-Alpine athlete who does not compete today, only to finish it right when the ice resurfacing break begins. Now they need to fill it with nordic ski jumping. Oh those geniuses!!!
Anyway, Kudos to Mao! What a way to end a career. Well done, and thank you!

She was kind of slow but I liked her fighting attitude. I would love to see more music like this in ladies' skating.eewwww what is Berenice wearing. burn it
But now he's only waiting for Yuna..)That's the german broadcasting for you. I am also disgusted and still crying for Eurosport.![]()
Perfect redemption, one last good skate for the road. Its going to be a long time before we see another 3A from a lady. Pity that Mao's PCS got lowballed. Ok with the SS and TS but definitely the performance and interpretation deserved higher. Her PCS should be about 72. the 3F 3L looks fine as well although I do agree the 2A 3T was UR for the 3T. The 3A was slightly hooked but I think it just about squeezed in <1/4 and thus rectified. she should be getting at least 147 to 148 from the PCS and the 3F 3L.
I can't help but imagine Kim with same base value. Probably she can broke 80 TES
Other than the 3L, pure sass and athleticism.
