2014 Olympics Ladies Free Skate

I think I'm going to stop counting falls and WH programs.

Now I'm going to wonder if anyone will surpass Mao before the final flight.

I want Zijun in my music box.

Oh, Mae & Black magic woman! she is the only lady who could skate with that music.

Li reminds me of a Yulia without conviction. She's good but at least Yulia skates her heart out with attack. Li lost my interest. Maybe bad music?

These judging comments make me lol so much!

Go Mae. Hate your music but love your jumps and heart! And she fell:(

Perfect redemption, one last good skate for the road. Its going to be a long time before we see another 3A from a lady. Pity that Mao's PCS got lowballed. Ok with the SS and TS but definitely the performance and interpretation deserved higher. Her PCS should be about 72. the 3F 3L looks fine as well although I do agree the 2A 3T was UR for the 3T. The 3A was slightly hooked but I think it just about squeezed in <1/4 and thus rectified. she should be getting at least 147 to 148 from the PCS and the 3F 3L.

THIS A MILLION TIMES. That first dress captures the drama of the song so much better than that twisted knot dress.

Totally shallow thing, but I'm SO glad Mao returned to her original FS dress....I did not like the one she wore for most of the season.

Oh woah, third group already...

Probably not. Maybe an absolutely perfect Suzuki will come close, but more than likely Mao will be the leader heading into the final group.

No way anyone in this group surpasses Mao. She has a shot at a medal. Feels a bit like US Nationals last year when Gracie skated early and shot up from 9th to lead until the 2nd to last skater.

I kinda wonder if Mao is totally retiring? I think it's likely she'll leave the competition circuit for a year or two, do her own thing, shows, travel around, so forth, but as long as her body stays working, why shouldn't she try and come back in the next Olympics?

If Kim Yu-Na wins, she'll have a chance to tie Sonja Henne's record of 3 straight gold medals at the Olympics and it'll be on home ice. Mao can try and hopefully pull it off, but what are the odds? Again, this is all provided Kim Yu-Na wins.

Decent skate, she looks happy. Really needs to work on her skating skills, she doesn't skate into the ice
