I'm still in shock that Sotnikova had more 3's for GOE than Kim, Kostner AND Asada had COMBINED.
And almost same for Lipnitskaya's 3's

I have not attacked the credibility of any pro-Yuna professional commentators, because I can see how someone could be surprised by the result. I acknowledge the experts know more than I do.
And what is your job here? You should be on GS more than a month before you start dismissing people.
hmm wonder why that is the only real argument they fall back on instead of a close analysis of breakdown of scores, for both SP and FS
Yes, but wouldn't that be unfair for those who actually jump the lutz correctly from an outside edge? As opposed to one that is ambiguous? I'm just saying it would be unfortunate for those who execute the lutz without any ambiguity. Use of wrong edges are habits that I think a competitive figure skater should definitely overcome.

when did i dismiss you? i meant that you've made your points, and now you are done. did you have anything else you needed to say that you haven't already said?

I find it strange that people would complain about the Economist and Chloe Katz lacking credibility, yet keep silent when other posters post articles from The Wire.com and Yu-Na fansites as unvarnished truth.
i'm not talking about commentators. i'm talking about experts putting in depth post analysis into both performances. namely, adelina's flutz, ur, blunt landings at some point.. but yea, 149.95 from the judges is all that matters. adelina uber at its finest.
Please link to a single in-depth analysis of Yuna's program as detailed as what we have seen of Adelina's.
That's because people are more interested in sources that support their own opinions....and because they believe so dogmatically in the "correctness" of their own opinions, will write off any contrary opinion at all.
as i said, ubers on both sides of the "aisle" have very little weight in this discussion
oops, poor choice of words on my part. nitpick away at her performance. what the spins weren't as fast? it was easy? few transitions? lol

Got caught in another blatant lie huh? I'm sorry for calling you out, no wonder you want me to shut up![]()
I am a skater and have friends who not only skate but hold judging appointments in the US and they believe that the technical calls on Adelina's 3Lz, 3T, and 2Lo were off and that the GOEs and PCS were "off" as relative scores.what did your peers think? scores appropriate, podium order appropriate, etc.?

Also, Yuna's 3Lz in the LP was not UR, just scratchy.
do you even have a logical response to the post made by a skater earlier in this thread watching the program?

You know what's strange? I don't like Sotnikova's skating. I don't think I've ever said a single nice thing about her skating on this forum in the seven years I have posted here (at least, I haven't said anything nice for a long, long time).....but the more horrible names posters here call her, the more egregiously incorrect and baseless articles I see criticizing her Olympics skate, the more I find myself inadvertently defending the scores the judges give her. Because nobody deserves to be pilloried and slandered the way Sotnikova has this past week.
But I still don't like her skating.
