Yuzuru Hanyu: 2013-14 Season

I really want Yuzuru to skate to arch angel by two step from hell; or he can use the arrangement that Ukrainian rhythmic gymnastic team use for their gala in 2012 : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jb9fZ_yPUIs

Anyhow, my prediction for his music in upcoming year are: Carmina Burana, Les Miserable, Gladiator and Phantom of the opera. (Gladiator would be nice though).

I would like to see him try program like Kostner's bolero as well, he has a perfect body for it.

There are a lot of good music from Japanese video game he could try too , I want to see someone skate to final fantasy 7!

You know, Gladiator also went trough my mind !

I hope they will make for his next program something epic. He have exceptional skills, and flexibility so can do something special about it.

But I also would love to see his program to this music composition from Pirates of the Caribbean:

Oh, yes! I mentioned about Carmina Burana few pages back and that would be epic music for Yuzuru! But I think more important than music is choreography....I just wish that Wilson would make masterpiece program for Yuzuru.

I remember Yuzuru said somewhere Carmina Burana was one of the candidates for FP this season. I love this music and I would be happy if it is used next season.

But, I cannot give up Joe Hisaishi's music easily either. Expectations becoming bigger and bigger

Really? I didn't know! Then I guess is quite possible that his team will use this music. Especially since vocal is allowed next season

Like you, I can just visualize Yuzuru skating to tango music. He certainly has the fire for it.

Japanese skaters (Mao's Por Una Cabeza, Kanako's Adios Nonino) seem to do tango music very, very well.

I remembered some Japanese fans call Yuzuru "Ashura (or Asura) dressed in lace"
Ashura is a sort of diety of battle.

I like "Kamigami No Uta" of HIMEKAMI, but I'm afraid this might not be good for Yuzuru's skating :disapp:. The lyrics are in old Japanese and even Japanese don't understand the meaning without translation.

Really enjoyed listening to all the suggested music for Yuzuru. A big thank you to all the posters. Most are "big" music, but then Yuzuru has that presence, that natural command on ice that can do justice to that kind of music. It's a gift ...to him and for us.

SuzyQ thank you too for the Yuzu and Pooh anime link. The end was so poignant, it hit me like the bittersweet one in Toy Story 3. Yuzuru right now is growing up so fast before our eyes.
