You are in good company. I am old enough that I feel more than a little conflicted about my feelings for this teenager who carries Pooh everywhere with him...but more than anything else, I just admire his immense talent and personality, and his cuteness just happens to be a major bonus. BTW, is anyone else in awe of his perfect skin?

I know what you mean! There was a similar discussion recently in the Jason Brown thread by Jason's "mature" fans (both he and Yuzuru are 19 BTW) and they even came up with sobriquets for themselves, i.e., "Brown's Aunties," "Golden Brownies," "Cougars for Jason Brown," etc. Maybe we should do the same.

Surely Mrs. P! I'm a fan of Jason too, and I suspect there are many like us. Yuzuru and Jason both have "it," a kind of transcendental charisma that makes the audience sit up and take notice of whatever they do on the ice and take joy in it. Off the ice, they are also admirable young men -- considerate, well-spoken, great ambassadors of figure skating.

I'm pretty sure we wouldn't discriminate, Mrs. P the more the merrier (plus: we old gals gotta stick together, right )

And Hanmgse, don't let the presence of your older "sisters" in the Yuzuru fandom make you slink away.

hello guys. after the 300th time replay Yuzu's LP performance at the Worlds, I spotted two coaches of Maxim Kovtun among audience. They watched him with all attetion but as expected, no clapping or standing at all. I wonder what they think about our boy...

On a side note, I'm so excited to see Yuzu's new costume's Maybe I'm overly optimistic because I find it hard to (or just don't want to)imagine anything that could be worst than the boobskirt.

And he looks so tired lately...hope he doesn't let all of this get to him and he keeps himself together and well grounded :yes: I know he has a good head on his shoulders but sometimes these things cannot be controlled. I can't wait till he goes back to Orser tbh

300th time? Not yet there, but I think I'll end up watching it as often as his R & J 1 2012 Worlds LP performance. Both are great in their own way.

Re the Russian scouting of Yuzuru, you must have indeed been watching it that many times to notice . As I previously posted, I think among the young guns (those as young or even younger than Yuzuru) I see Maxim Kovtun, Jason Brown, Joshua Farris, Han Yan, and Boyang Jin as his possible rivals in this quad and in the 2018 Olympics.

As GPF, Olympic, and now Worlds champion, Yuzuru is now the benchmark for the up and coming skaters in much as the same way that Patrick Chan was Yuzuru's "sun," which he said he must surpass. So I am not surprised Maxim's coaches were there to take notes. I'm sure they noticed how great a competitor Yuzuru is saving that quad sal and triple sal and what Maxim must do to be competitive with Yuzuru.
