Yuzuru Hanyu: 2013-14 Season

Hello everyone! ^^

I've just registered today after becoming a fangirl of skating and Yuzuru (..that feels so weird, I've been calling him Hanyuu-kun until now haha) slowly over the last few months, from the Olympics and then very MUCH and very FAST since the Worlds in March :) You all probably know sooo much more about skating/skaters than me, so please don't be harsh because I'm very new ^^;; I'll try to learn a lot, since I'm totally the type that loves watching/following something or someone, and also looves theory (I could spend the whole day reading wiki entries! lol).

This year, since last year's summer, until July 2014 I'm doing student exchange to Japan, Tokyo, and that's basically how I became fan. Of course since I was small me and my sister would always watch figure skating on TV and love it because it was so pretty and the dresses were so pretty and all, but we always were more interested in women and pairs. That's how most small girls are, I think :D But now I'm a bit older so I found myself drawn more to the males, you know... >//< Not only because boys, but their strenght makes the performances more capturing.. but I still love female skating too!! Back to the original point, with the Olympics going on, and then the Worlds also being held here, and with Hanyuu-kun and Mao and Akiko and Machida and... everyone else! competing and doing so wonderfully (except for Mao at Sochi, everyone was so devastated and sad, but she made up for it at W)... Well, being in the environment where everyone was cheering for them and celebrating their great results, I got back to liking figure skating, and then when I was with friends, watching the Worlds, cheering with clasped hands and sparkling eyes (I almost wasn't breathing during Hanyuu-kun's FS during Worlds!), I fell completely in love. Been watching recordings I could find on Youtube since then. I very much don't plan on leaving Japan before I can go to Fantasy on Ice2014 in July! I just need to find someone who will travel with me to Niigata, haha.

I feel like I completely forgot how to "english" or my mother language because the only way I know how to finish this post would be "yoroshiku ne!", but.. I hope I can make some friends and talk to other fans here from now on :)

P.S. I will stop calling him Hanyuu-kun from now on. It's just a very weird feeling xD

And of course, welcome to the newcomers :) It's always so great to see how Yuzu is having more fans day after day

Konnichi wa everyone! A big fan of Yuzuru, I have been lurking in this thread for the past few days. Was wondering if anybody would know how much a ticket to the ice shows on Japan would cost in PHP? I wanna save enough so that someday I'll be able to meet Yuzu, though I really think that it won't be easy to meet him considering his fame in Japan. Anyway, I hope to read more interesting bits of info re the Ice Prince. Nice to meet you all from the Philippines! :)

In latest interview of newspaper (Chunichi Shimbun), Yuzu quoted the Matthew McConaughey's famous last words when accepting the award for Best Actor at the 2014 Oscars. (Yuzu really learned something from TV program.) :)

Interview: http://goo.gl/GF4iRz

It indeed inspired me somehow when I heard earlier. I would like to share the original paragraphs that McConaughey said to all of you.

"To my hero, that's who I chase.

When I was 15 years old, I had a very important person in my life come to me, 'Who's your hero?' and I said, 'I don't know. I gotta think about that, give me a couple of weeks.' I come back two weeks later, and this person comes up, 'Who's your hero?' and I said, 'I thought about it and you know who it is, it's me in 10 years.

So I turned 25 10 years later and that same person comes to me and says, 'So are you a hero?' and I said, 'Not even close!' And she said, 'Why?' and I said, 'Because my hero is me at 35.' Every day and every week and every month of my life, my hero is always 10 years away. I'm never gonna be my hero. I'm not gonna obtain that, I know I'm not, which is just fine with me because that keeps me somebody to keep on chasing.

So to any of us, whatever those things are, whatever we look up to, whatever it is we look forward to and whoever it is we're chasing—to that I say, alright, alright, alright. And then I say, just keep livin'."

Nice to meet you,BellaGrey. To answer your question,I'd say it depends on your seat.:p For example in the Osaka show, the price of a ticket is set from 5000 yen to 20000 yen, which changes to PHP is about from 2176 to 8706.
