Yuzuru Hanyu: 2013-14 Season

Hi everyone!! I just joined a few days ago but it took me awhile to read through the 250+ pages...wow, everyone here is awesome!! Thank you so much for all the posts and links....it was so fun to read!! I'm from Canada, an ex competitive skater...and a huge fan of Yuzurus!!! We dont get much information here, and not many stories about Yuzu unless it is during major competition, and even then, only as it relates to Patrick Chan....BUT if i come across anything here, i will definitely post it!!!

Hi won0066. Welcome! Although I'm a newbie as well :p
I joined in March, but I have given up trying to read through 250+ pages. Maybe I should go back to them.
I admire that you're an ex competitor skater. Well, I admire anyone who can skate actually.
I hope Yuzuru continues to get a little bit of coverage in Canada next season with the other Canadian men.

Looking forward to anything you might post in the future:thumbsup:

Here's my attempt at translating the interviews at the beginning and the end.

Mai: Congratulations on (winning) the Olympics and the Worlds. Coming here to Nagoya Festival after your fantastic performances, how do you want to perform today?
Yuzuru: I'll be skating to Swan Lake. Today will be the beginning of the many shows I'll be doing and I would like to give back to everyone who supported me after the earthquake by skating to Swan Lake which was a program I performed in the season when the earthquake occurred, to mark as the beginning of this season (of ice shows?)

Mai: After skating in 2 major competitions, are you feeling relieved?
Yuzuru: No, not relieved. But I feel I have given all I was able to give so I will begin focusing my mind to do my best in the next season.

Yuzuru: I felt pressure because the Nagoya audience have expert eyes but because of that, I was able to give a good performance and think they were happy with me.

You know, it's like Plushy was dying from the inside but tried his best to show a smile. It's not that he was not happy for the kid but... it seems he was sad inside.

Yes,of course...I am sure that he was happy for Yuzu but I think he tried too hard to show that smile :)

She's so funny in that picture with Oda.:laugh: I love Kanako, natural beautiful girl. I also admire her friendship with Yuzu.:clap:

Is it just me or Kana-chan looks like the kid's elder sister in the picture? She surely looks her age but the kid is too young for his age. He looks 15. :slink:

Exactly. And his face is smaller than most girls in his pictures. It really makes me feel sad.:cry:
