Tatiana Volosozhar & Maxim Trankov

First post!! Orangella96, I am originally also from Germany, but have migrated to Autralia. The Winter Olympics fall in the months where we have 40+ degrees so I lap up the sight of snow and ice greedily. :) V/T are an absolute delight to watch. The links to these videos open perfectly for me here. If there is a way (you seem very technology savvy) of getting them to you without us both disclosing personal information here, I am happy to help you out. :) +

Catching up on the posts, just saw that Batsuchan had the know-how on this one. I'm impressed. What a lot of clever people here!!

Looks like V/T and S/K were on a late night Russian talk show sort of like Letterman or Leno after their Olympic win. Can anyone translate what was said?

Have no idea what anyone said, but that was so fun to watch .....and sort of surreal for me, because the show really is so much like a late night talk show in the U.S. A translation would be GREAT! Would especially like to know what Fedor said about Ksenia's pedicure -- apparently it was hilarious! Even though Max did most of the talking (no surprise LOL), I was so happy to see that Tanya was actually the first one to speak  Thanks for posting that, JCSKIZZLE!

And thanks to SallyTeoh for the Skate America video! That was so fun to watch, too!

Welcome to all the new posters tonight -- kinoriH, gabriele & gabifazio!!!

Pic of them being interviewed, next stop Stary Oskol April 15. Maybe we will get more pics now that they have a couple of days off again :)

Judging by his face they must have asked him if they're dating
also, Klimov said that sometimes relationship off ice could help or not, depends of the situation
Well, he had both examples training near him, one working (Tanya and Max), one not (Yuri and Vera). But in the end what matters if they get along on the ice.

I'll second what mttvonice said, welcome to the new posters! The more the merrier.

They come on around 12:00 so you don't have to watch the whole thing but the kids on before them are adorable even though I can't understand a word they say. :)

Someone translated it in the comments section on Youtube when I saw the video two months ago, but that seems to have disappeared now :bang:
But IIRC, one of the questions was about their choice of music, and Max was talking about how Khachaturian was from the region around Sochi, so that's why they (or rather, he) chose Masquerade Waltz.
That's all I remember, sorry! It was two months ago....Anyway, if someone wouldn't mind translating it again, that would be great!

Thank you very much for the offer :)
I have downloaded a proxy though so that for these videos my IP-adress is not a German one :)

From me a welcome to the new members too, of course :)

Wellcome to all the new members! It's amazing how we have grow since the olympics :)

I think it must be dificult spend 10 years of your life skating with a partner who isn't your friend. I though only because of all the time they spend together it must be a special feeling for each other... call it friendship, family...

That's what I thought too. But obviously they kept their interaction very professional and down to a minimum...

Here's the video with the translation in the comments below... thx to whoever put the effort to do so! :)

Tanya & Max also appeared on another TV show a little bit after the olympics... They show a really cute childhood video of Tanya at 25:52 . SO CUTEE. Their parents were even brought there and were interviewed. DIED when I saw Max shaking Tanya's dad hand. LOL
And of course... the question about the wedding.. Tanya's expression at 32:49 says it all. #sigh

How cool that you found that :)

Could someone please translate the important parts of that interview? Pretty, pretty please

From the look of his hair I'd assume it's the "Black Swan" hairstyle so in 2012...
Looks like a gala rehearsal in my opinion and I don't think their cuddling is part of that
I think it might be earlier, maybe end 2011 :) But I asked the user who put up the photo, hope he/she answers.

I bet on it that in the end it will be the probably most famous competition in between our thread.
the Eric Bompard Trophy in 2011

I was thinking that, his hair looks so similar. I wouldn´t be surprised at all

EDIT: It was from Art On Ice 2011.

It would be nice if someone can make a summary of all their russian interviews we have. Did they seriously ask them about the wedding during that live show? That's a bit too much, especially seeing Tatiana's shocked face (because I don't understand their answer since it's in Russian). Now I understand even more their reluctance when it comes to answering dating questions.

Yes there's definitely more understanding for their non-denial-denial thing...
But for real they both didn't even know what to say anymore....
Especially with their parents around...
All in all I believe the media should just let it be I mean the documentary showed it, the article about the documentary showed it and Nina Mozer confirmed it as well. What else do they want? :bang: Oh and let's not forget the closing ceremony kiss...

EDIT: It was from Art On Ice 2011.
It's the same year as the TEB
Thanks for asking :)

Here are the highlights…

It was at least second time they were asked about wedding in a short time. A week after VT won OGM one yellow newspaper wrote that they plan wedding. Next day they were asked if it's true, and VT denied that. But rumors didn't stopped and journalists asked them some more times. So by the time of the show they were diffenenly tired of that question.

Jornalist asked something like
And what is a story about wedding? Is it just gossip or we can invite people to celebrate it just after closing ceremony? (This show was two days before it)
Max: (he use a proverb Без меня меня женили - i don't know how to translate it)
Tanya (jokes): People should invite us for our wedding :)
Max: If it 'strue than we make an official statement, and you wouldn't know this from yellow newspaper.

Thank you very much Hermione! The proverb is translated by google "I got married without me". I like how they answered, that they'll announce it themselves if and when it happens, I would have lost my temper if I were them lol.
