Tatiana Volosozhar & Maxim Trankov

So since their flats are very close, it's funny when Max said in some interview this autumn that if he was watching football in her flat and Tanya was sleeping when the game ended, he saw no point to go home and instead stayed the night. I mean the distance was really really far...

When did he say that?

Maybe (I don't know if that's possible) they'll just cancel that contract or something like that...(from either side: the organisers or the team)
As for Robin he says that he's got several ideas for his future and that the figure skatin era is definitely a closed thing for him now.

EDIT But didn't post Max a picture of the plane ticket to Khabarovsk already?
Would be quite the long way to go to Yekatarinburg to Moscow just to fly into the opposite direction again....or?

Robin will probably have to pay the organisers some compensation. It's definitely not as simple as him just not turning up

And about Khabarovsk....I was confused as well. But if you look at the ticket, their flight isn't until 9:20 tonight. So maybe they checked in before they left the airport after they got back from Yekatarinburg to save time

You know what I don't understand. Why'd they even sign a contract over years if they knew they wouldn't continue skating together?
I mean what does Aliona want? She continues with a new partner but expects Robin to do the shows to earn money just because they're know around the figure skating world?
I can't understand that train of thougths honestly.

I guess their original plan was to win OGM this year and then retire from competition and just skate in shows for the next couple of years, hence the multi-year contract with AOI. But that plan is obviously down the drain now that Robin's decided to retire but Aliona still wants to keep going till 2018 and Robin won't do that with her.

But we digress. I'm intrigued to see how Aliona and Massot compare to V/T and how she was with Robin.

I guess it was Aliona's and Ingo's plan 'cause Robin said from the beginning on that he'd stop after the Olympics.
But you're right I'm very curious how they'll do in the real competitions against Tanya and Maxim (if they keep on that long 'cause lots of people predict a Mukhortova/Blanchard story)

Yea that is Tanya's building, but I think Max's flat is also in that same building. Fedor lives at number 28 (http://instagram.com/p/k1yvRFxU5X/) Maybe they're just chilling at Max/Tanya's place?
By the walls I think they're at Maxim's apartment.
In a different interview last year they said their flats are separated by 5 floors.

No matter what they say in interviews, I think most of the time they live in Tanya's flat, judging by all the photos.

It's scary how many pairs are splitting.

It really is scary. I remember Johnny Weir saying during the Olympics that European pairs generally enjoy better success than the American teams because they stick together for longer. Less than two months later, we now have this massive implosion of European + Canadian pairs. I think he's jinxed it

About Aliona be french now, I didn't know that it's possible compete as a German and in the next Olympics compete to another country like France, well I thought that in Tatiana's case it was possible because the Russian and Ukraine thing, it must be weird you defend another country

The BILD article says Aliona/Bruno will Premiere in South Korea on 1st May (hopefully something will be on youtube then - I'd love to see how they look together). Aliona would prefer to remain German citizen, but there is no public funding for Steuer and the French federation will cover his costs. The French federation isn't willing to release Massot easily, while the German federation will release her so it would be sitting out one year starting for France and sitting out two years starting for Germany. Aliona wouldn't mind missing two years, if the financial side was resolved, her goal is Olympic gold at 'any cost'. Hopefully that about sums it up. What do you think Orangella96?

Yes that's right. :)
But I think that she'll compete for France 'cause no matter what they say the financial aspect is an important one and there's a very slim chance that the German federation will start to pay for Steuer.
That on the other hand would mean that if massot and Savchenko aren't successful they'll not be able to pay for Steuer.
In the end it's kind of a win-win situation.
Steuer and Savchenko will get money from the French Federation and the French hope for some wins with that team.

gabifazio

Yeah actually you can change the citizenship whenever you want. Goes of course with the barrier for one or two years.
In 2002 she started for the Ukraine so it will be her third country she represents.
As Aliona says she wants to win at any costs. So for her it won't be weird.

I thought they'd only go to All That Skate. Do you know what on May 1st?

More sad news... :( Apparently Kirsten Moore Towers and Dylan Moscovitch have also split. :((
I love this pair. More than Megan and Eric actually. I hoped they could win a medal next season, now that Aliona and Robin are not together anymore...

First Aliona and Robin, then Nikita and Elena & Vera and Yuri (though it's only for their own good lol) , and now Kirsten and Dylan. I CAN'T TAKE IT.
NOOOOO I really liked Kirsten and Dylan😫😭 But I like Megan/Eric too though.

I like how almost always it looks like they're posing only the two of them, like there aren't other people around:

How many shows do they have in May in Korea? I honestly don't know how they can do it anymore, after all the competitions, art on ice, the current tour. To me it seems too much.

Well All That Skate is from the 4th-6th of May. And if I'm not mistaken they have two shows per day so it would be six shows.
So in total they still have 9 shows until their well deserved break

Oh and the picture is really pretty :)

About summer shows: if collect information from FSU, Tanya and Max are listed for Dreams on Ice 2014 in Japan: Shinyokohama (June 26-28) (http://www.fsuniverse.net/forum/sho...n-Ice-2014-in-Japan-Shinyokohama-(June-26-28))
Fantasy on Ice, Japan ice shows, July 12-13, 2014 (http://www.fsuniverse.net/forum/showthread.php?92011-Fantasy-on-Ice-Japan-ice-shows-July-12-13-2014)
2014 Artistry on Ice shows in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou & Taipei (July 25-Aug. 3) (http://www.fsuniverse.net/forum/sho...Shanghai-Guangzhou-amp-Taipei-(July-25-Aug-3))
So, summer will be almost crazy :rolleye:

Both Tanya and Max posted their tickets to Kabarovsk
Tanya's place is 3A http://ink361.com/app/photo/ig-707951797633808670_13861021
and Max's place is 3C http://ink361.com/app/photo/ig-707731312118159124_10808668
 Interesting, whose place is 3b :rolleye:

Well being listed does not neccessarily mean that they'll go there.
So far the two of them only confirmed Fantasy on Ice....
If they'd take part in all that shows, when do they want to prepare for the season?

If I remember correctly from the fan meeting Maxim only talked about Fantasy on Ice and nothing else. I'll go with what orangella said, doesn't look like the could train properly with that many shows scheduled.

As for the plane seats, I think the organizers are the ones to give the tickets, not them, so I'm sure they'll change place which whoever is in the middle lol. They always stay together during plane rides, at least that's what I saw in photos.

I thought exactly the same. They probably don't care what seat they're actually on. They'll sit next to eachother anyways
