Russian Test Skates 2014

Dressing her daughter beautifully and teaching good manners?
You have got to be joking me

Whose mom? Yulia's or mine?

Seriously, re: dresses, I was referring to Yulia's costumes from last year, which she and her mother worked on together. I thought she looked great in both of them. Re: politeness, take a look @ post 177 -- I was kidding.

Some new about the test skates:

acc. to the Russian forum Anna, Elena and Alena skated well (though Alena had only 3T-3T)
Adelina skated the program without the jumps
Maria and Julia had problems with their jumps (problems not specified)
Liza had no triple-triple(
Nicole didn't skate because of injury.

I see, i'm just not a fan of the whole bums falling out and nearly thong look i suppose.
I could try to find and post a few pictures if you don't believe me but i feel too nauseous about that. This is why i prefer anything but skin-colored tights on skaters so i don't have to barf.
Anyways, that's why laughed at her mother dressing her daughter beautifully and teaching good manners.

I'm fairly sure you're the only one who notices these "Bums falling out and nearly thong look". And if you're the only one so concentrated on these young girls' rear ends....what does that say about you?

No, everybody does, i'm just not afraid to tell the truth. It's funny how you only mention that part when my comment wasn't about one sentence.
I just specifically pointed out why she wasn't dressed beautifully and all. It's like i said, i'm not a fan because i prefer modesty.
To each their own.:)

I also notice the butts on a lot of the ladies & I myself am a woman not too much older than some of them :p I mean, they reach down and adjust their wedgies a lot during any competition, especially after the 6 minute warm-up. Haven't you ever noticed ?

Come on guys!
Gymnasts, swimmers... it's not only figure skating.
We never actually see any "bums" here.
They are always wearing some kind if tights and the lower part of their dress above them. If both of these are flesh colored, then yes, one sees the outlines of the body beneath them.
But you never see any actual skin in inappropriate areas.
It's part of the sport, and while I understand your opinion and respect it, I personally think that say playing Carmen in a SP may indeed look more appropriate and fitting in a more "mature dress" (I know short isn't always mature but I hope you get my point) than in sth as covered up as say Yulia's SL outfit :)
Also the new past-Yuna/Mao generation mainly consists of teenagers, so the idea of seeing a bum doesn't even occur to me personally, because, to me, they are more "children", a few of them even younger than myself, so I'm not very focused on these kind of womanly attributes either and I think it's a bit strange to pay so much attention to them.

Let's not get hooked on the costumes, but rather on the athletical efforts.:yay:

I'm a bit unsure as to why we are talkiing about inappropriate costumes in connection with Julia of all people, though? That's where this started, wasn't it - or did I miss something?

Agree, my comment was that she is age appropriately dressed and its probably explained by the fact that her mother designs her costumes.

"Yulia Lipnitskaya and her indecent, depraving costumes."
Haven't seen that coming!

Uh, they meant Radionova's hooker-chic getups, right? Where was that quote from?

I'm not sure if that was a direct quote that papa cited? But here is something:

I must say it is puzzling if Jullia is the poster girl for costumes that makes people "barf"?

I was wondering if the poster was getting Julia mixed up with someone else - but if not, then, I wonder, whose costumes would NOT make them lose their dinner?

Why are positive or intermediating comments always ignored(not only talking about my one, but in general), but one "negative" sentence starts such a storm.
Please, this is about the test skates, can't we just go back to the topic and discuss the performances happening right now rather than costumes of the past?
FS are probably happening at this moment
