That's because tights are too slippery so your bottom briefs rides up easily and i know because i used to skate.I wore them under my black tights instead, what a huge relief that was.arty:

Gymnasts, swimmers... it's not only figure skating.
We never actually see any "bums" here.
They are always wearing some kind if tights and the lower part of their dress above them. If both of these are flesh colored, then yes, one sees the outlines of the body beneath them.
But you never see any actual skin in inappropriate areas.
It's part of the sport, and while I understand your opinion and respect it, I personally think that say playing Carmen in a SP may indeed look more appropriate and fitting in a more "mature dress" (I know short isn't always mature but I hope you get my point) than in sth as covered up as say Yulia's SL outfit
Also the new past-Yuna/Mao generation mainly consists of teenagers, so the idea of seeing a bum doesn't even occur to me personally, because, to me, they are more "children", a few of them even younger than myself, so I'm not very focused on these kind of womanly attributes either and I think it's a bit strange to pay so much attention to them."

We're talking about ice skating, not any other sport and yes you always see bums unless it's covered up by non-skin color tights.
It doesn't matter, as long as flesh-colored tights are worn you will always see skin which is based on skin isn't it?
The SL outfit you mean is not really covered up though.

Really? I've never had this problem. But then when I make my dresses I always leave a little bit of elastic exposed on the reverse side of the panty seams, so that can grip on regular tights. Or maybe I just wear grippier tights. Either way, when I put the seams where I want them, they tend to stay put, thank goodness.

I've heard some skaters say they put a little hairspray along the seams to make them stick down, too.

One of the primary issues is the panty being too high-cut to begin with. Once that starts happening, a certain level of riding up is inevitable.

Anyway, I also thought Yulia's skirt was much too short, even for a freestyle dress. Which struck me as odd because the rest of the outfit was perfect, but the skirt was just...too short. Yes, it was supposed to be a coat, but it didn't have to be as short as a coat.



Anyway. Enough about the ladies, I want to hear about the MEN!

I thought last season Yulia may have grown a bit since whenever her costumes for last season were made, but on the whole they were still my favorite costumes of the season. Definitely not indecent by any means especially after considering some of the more questionable costume choices other ladies have made (nude colored panties anyone?)

One of the primary issues is the panty being too high-cut to begin with. Once that starts happening, a certain level of riding up is inevitable.

As we are on the subject.. I've been wondering for a while already but isn't Mirai's bottom cut totally too narrow and odd compared to other girls? It really hurts my eyes.... i mean she is a beautiful skater with beautiful costumes but like in spins or such it just.....

The last show video I saw Adelina gained some weight, so no jumps…
Julia had problem with jumps… Is that even possible?

Some new about the test skates:

acc. to the Russian forum Anna, Elena and Alena skated well (though Alena had only 3T-3T)
Adelina skated the program without the jumps
Maria and Julia had problems with their jumps (problems not specified)
Liza had no triple-triple(
Nicole didn't skate because of injury.

Do you really think she didn't jump cause she gained weight? That would be quiet a problem since the GP starts in approximately 2 months for her... I really hope she just wants to refine them or is still unsure about some landings and such..
Hope Anna isn't too fussed about the video being released and could move on and do well yesterday.

As I understand, Buyanova's kids show programs without jumps. It's her decision.

Furthermore, it turned out, that FS test skates were 21th (not 22th) (21th of August Elena wrote in Instagram that (test) skates is over and she left for home).

Interview after Test Skates:
Yulia: her Mulan program is not ready and she will probably change it.

Anna: the coaches liked her programs but they pointed out many issues to work at.

Yes, Julia said the specialists did not like the FS, but she points out that the programm itself was not ready as Ilya had to leave. Now they have another option for the FS, so they will most likely change it. She says she was not in shape for the test skates as her first start is in 1,5 months.

I like that interview of Yulia's. And she says something which I think is quite sensible and correct: there's no point being on top form six weeks before the start of the season. I agree with her and I will never understand why some people hit the panic buttons when a skater is doing doubles in a program in July/August. Senior GP doesn't even start til end of October, and the first Senior Bs are mid-September. They have weeks yet.

I wanted to add, also, I think they should try something light-hearted. She has such a pretty face, and when she smiles, it's like taking a shade off a lamp. She's young, she needs to be young, light-hearted, fun, and smile.
