Yes. I meant that they planned to go to Nebelhorn and Finlandia, both events. Now they're planning to go to Finlandia only. You said that they will be at Finlandia instead of Nebelhorn.

Ok, got what you meant :) I still doubt they would go to 2 competition prior to GP season.
 
And a russian cup competition this week as well for B/S .They skip that too. So three competitions close to eachother.I doubt they meant to do all of them.
 
Brief thoughts on the test skates, just in random order.

Excited for Elena's programs!!! Yes, the music cut in the short is weird. But the costume/packaging look like a serious improvement over last year. I actually liked her neon yellow short program outfit last year, but this looks more mature and her hair is good too. Her posture seems improved. I like both programs and I think she can sell them. I. JUST. LOVE. HER.

I seem to like Yulia's short better than most, the driving rhythm of it is a nice change for her I think. I'd still like to see something a little more from her in terms of expressiveness somehow.

I love Liza's long program!! She seems to enjoy it too, which is the best part! The costume for the long is better. I think her flow-y, gauze-y costumes are something unique, but I think the look works better for the long than the short. I think she should only do that look for one program because as it is now it makes me feel she is trying to hide her body which is so sad. There is nothing for her to be embarrassed of. :(

Leonova had big struggles in her long, but I think the costume is lovely and it could be a good program for her. I was heartbroken by her look of disappointment after her long. Her short is fun but I'm curious how it will go over with the judges. Most of all I hope she can enjoy this season whatever her results are.

Still wish that Liza had a lighter color for her LP. And her SP costume is a head case for me. :bang:

Her costumes last season were bad, and this season it seems like the costumes may be along the same lines as last year. I wish whoever is making the design choices would look back at the costumes she wore her first senior season and take inspiration from that and go with something more colorful for her.
 
YASSSSSS at Elena Radianova! That girl really inhibits her music and sells her program. She skates her SP and LP totally differently, which is an impressive display of interpretation skills. She's extremely versatile.

Julia has improved in musicality. She actually looks like she's skating to the music. What's up with the looking at the sky move? Is she going to do that for every program moving forwards?

Adelina looks good, but I dislike that music choice. I also feel like she looks she same no matter what music she's skating to. She uses the same overwrought, dramatic style for all her programs. Dislike that hand grabbing motion.

Anyway, I love how she gets great height on all of her jumps, and she actually looked happy to be skating at the end. But is it or just me or are her wrists super annoying? I understand how they're very fluid, but at times she kind of just flails them around and it becomes distracting.

Elena was beautiful- she's definitely improved artistically, though her jumps looked a little wobbly...doesn't really matter because it looked like she grew so she's probably readjusting her body. And it's a test skate, so.

I like Julia's music but the choreography itself was a little disappointing. She was doing shows and on vacation though, so I understand that she may not have had as much time to train it as she would've liked.

Adelina- hm. Ending made me laugh, when she kind of just falls over. But I love her passion, it's just that (like others have said) there was a lot of two foot skating.

These videos have made me infinitely more excited for the next season!

I went back and I don't believe so. She does a 3-turn, putting her on a back inside edge, but switches over to an outside edge just before taking off.

It was a pretty obvious switch to the inside edge before the take off. It has the typical flutz look.

I did like her SP though. She's actually hitting the accents of the music this time, so she is improving.

Are you talking about Lipnitskaya's SP? There's only one lutz?

ETA: I think you were talking about Radionova's LP. In that case, yes, she has a true lutz.

Sorry, I was referring to Radionova's LP. But now that I look back at it, Radionova's DOES look like an inside edge, but it's really hard to tell. But I don't think she's ever gotten an edge call on that jump, which is weird. And when you pause the video right before the lutz, it looks like a hard outside edge. Maybe the angle isn't good...sorry for the confusion:slink:

Lutzlover, the post of AnnatheMusican's that you quoted, she was referring to Lipnitskaya's program and lutz, not Radionova. I am pretty sure Radionova has a true lutz.

Wait are you talking about Yulia? I'm very confused here because of the Radinova Flutz debacle....but if so I'm going to cry.
