Go Figure was one of those movies that when I was younger seemed cool, but now knowing way more about FS just seems hilarious.

It did amuse me when I started watching Syfy's Eureka (not FS related) and the actress playing the main character from Go Figure was in it.

"Ice Castles" is sooooooo schlocky. I've always wondered how the great Colleen Dewhurst got roped into doing that film.

Now that you mention Colleen Dewhurst, I thought of her Emmy-winning guest appearances in "Murphy Brown"... and the 1994 Olympic-themed episode called "Fjord Your Eyes Only", where Murphy interviews a (fictional) Norwegian skater favored to win gold in Lillehammer but, after the interview for a "fluff piece", the skater quits and the entire country attack Murphy.

Synopsis: "The team travel to cover the Lillehammer Olympics. Murphy's interview leads the top Norwegian skater to withdraw on the eve of the competition. Jim is sick for the first time since 1976."

Best bit was every time she mentioned "fluff piece", nobody outside the American media understood it!!

Well, shoot. I absolutely adored "Murphy Brown" but don't remember that episode at all. Colleen Dewhurst was perfect as Murphy's mom, though! Wish Netflix would add MB to their streaming menu.

The character is Kate I believe. If she were around today and had no media training she'd be all over Page Six and Perez.

and look up that MB episode! I read on Wiki that they're not releasing any more box sets due to low sales and high music licensing costs (they were big on their 60s musical cues, especially the Shirelles and Aretha). Maybe whatever channel puts on the reruns has it? (Should we start writing Nick at Nite and demanding it?!)
