yes, the worst has passed for Liza now IMO. The puberty monster has gone. I am so happy. Her LP is so strong and what a fit for her. What I loved about Liza's program is that you could actually see her gaining confidence as the program went by. Started with a bit shaky 3Lz, doubled the flip, but after the 3-3 combo she was on fire and her jumps once again had the quality you would expect from her.
This is a very important step for her this season, she needs to build on this performance to gain her reputation back. She does have the advantage that she regained her jumps after puberty hit while her other main rivals are still to do so. (except Adelina).

I think her SP is good. But the LP...Carroll and Nichol have transformed her into a pageanty princess. But, no matter how much they try to force her into that style of skating, she isn’t graceful and her presentation doesn’t come across as natural.
Disagree on both statements. First of all, it's the START of the season, no need to be dramatic. Adelina started slow too last year and progressed throughout the season. Second, Liza was NEVER considered B-competition. Last year she dealt with injuries, puberty and so on...Many people considered her a Sochi participant if not a contender before that.I'm glad for Tuk. She was so good and seems to have made a successful recovery from her injury.
Gracie should change her name to Gracie Bronze or Gracie Off-The-Podium. Because this girl will never be a contender on the world stage. She can’t even beat the Russian B team at a Senior B event. She just doesn’t have the skill or competitive mindset. That much is obvious by now.

I don’t think they are the right fit for her. She still has no jump consistency and her jump quality has declined dramatically to the point where her jumps are poor quality elements. When I watch her jump, I can’t believe I’m watching the same girl I watched in the 2011-2012 season. She has no height/power on her jumps anymore and the landings are so hard.

Thank you Koatcue.... It's the the beginning of the season and it's like people think they have a crystal ball to predict what the future competitive career of any of these skaters will be like. The way I look at it... We are at the beginning a new generation and another 4 year cycle before another olympics. All people can do right now is sit back and see how the next quad pans out.
)Sigh... Like I said Snow63, lets just see how the rest of this season and future seasons pan out. You are entitled to your opinion like I am.It's the start of the season for every athlete, not just Gracie. And it's not like people think they have a crystal ball, it's called personal opinion and personal predictions BASED ON Gracie's performance last year and start of this year.
Tick tock, Gracie, Polina is coming. (I don't like them both tbh)
