2014 Skate Canada Autumn Classic

I found that disappointing from H&D.

The Paso sequences and the sbs sequence both looked particularly weak.

Choreography was interesting in places, but they looked uncomfortable with it. And sloooooooooow.

I would go with the Denmark team, honestly.

5 Sara HURTADO / Adria DIAZ ESP
SD Tercio de Quites by Rafael Talens, Almoraina by Paco de Lucia ( is their tribute to the artist after his death last February 25 ), Alfileres de colores by Miguel Poveda; choreo by David Wilson, Antonio Najarro, M.F. Dubreuil

is she the bull? or the cape? She makes horn tossing moves with arms

I like the structure of this program!

Nice twizzles
late to the music

lift could be smoother.

Score
54.12 into first

Of all the teams I've seen so far this season, P&I have taken the least creative and interesting approach to the choreography for the second paso sequence. It's barely any different from the first sequence at all.

I fits their vanilla style, I suppose.

Paul & Islam

Unfortunately, probably a lift time deduction. Plus late to the music.

Otherwise very smooth.

Needs some swagger though. He does not make me see anything but a Canadian boy

55.3 into 1st.

It's frustrating that the audio is so off, becuase the way P&C hit all the accents in the music in the paso is lost.

That's an awesome SD though. Interpretation is the best I've seen this season.

Papadakis & Cizeron

love the lift. He was so steady on one foot!
twizzles ok some synch issues
good speed
nice and close on step for most of it. A little wide at the end.

score
59.74 into first

Wow the FRA team is taking a big leap this year. Kind of expected this since they would be the top team for France now.

I like Colin Brubaker, but he was kind of all over the place here. They're probably going to be behind O&W.

Yikes. Score in the low 40s and into 6th.

Aronow & Brubaker

better than I expected. Started well, but trouble at the end of the program.
twizzles crossing pattern I thought they would crash.
missed the hold into the lift, and so late on the music.
could have been worse

score 42.48 into 6th

I am shocked by that because so far this season the USA teams have been getting the best levels on their elements.

Jones and Sharpe are pretty decent for a team so close in height. They don't look awkward or cumbersome as I was expecting.

Is that Linichuk in the blingy hat?

Papadakis and Cizeron have been repackaged and look like world class material, so excited, I expect them to medal in the China GP :)

Jones & Sharpe

was that a bull roar stuck into the music?

not my cuppa
I almost never like to see the girl towed around by the leg.

score 39.8 into 8th

Just a quick question re time... Have I understood it correctly, and will the ladies begin in about an hour? Thanks in advance for any help. :)

I adore Paul and Islam but this dance needs passion ( be a little more stern guys). I like O/W's dance but.. nerves ?

Both P/C and H/D have very interesting programs..
