Angelina and Ilia finished 4th out of 17 in the FD, with a score of 87.49. This meant that they climbed to 5th place overall, with a score of 143.24.
Unfortunately, I was not able to watch LIVE. I watched the whole of the Free Dance on Monday afternoon.
But here are some photos taken in the arena by
@NoNameFace during their programme:

When I first read what Angelina and Ilia were going to be skating their Free to, I was really intrigued to find out what it would be like. Because I just could not imagine those three pieces of music in a medley together! Let's face it, the Bee Gees are about as far away from Run-DMC and 2Unlimited that you can get!
Well, after hearing it, I was right. It was weird. As a Bee Gees fan, I loved the "How Deep Is Your Love" section. But, it just did not fit in with the other two songs.
One thing I do think would improve it would be if Run-DMC's "It's Tricky" was replaced with the song it is actually based on:
Toni Basil - "
Mickey"
Not only would it make the combination of songs seem a bit better, but if you watch the video for the song, it ties in so well with what Angelina and Ilia are wearing!
Before they started, Mark explained to viewers the meaning of the numbers on the costumes that Ilia (19) and Angelina (60) were wearing (I know, it should have been the other way around!) 1960 was the year that Cyprus became independent from the United Kingdom. However, he missed the significance of the colour of the costumes. Cyprus has been known for it's copper deposits from ancient times. And, depending on who you ask, either the island is named after the metal, or the metal is named after the island. Regardless of which is the correct, the colour of copper is a national symbol of Cyprus. Which is why, when the flag was designed, it showed a copper coloured aerial view of the island on a white background, with green olive leaves (symbolising peace between the two communities). And, in turn, this is why Angelina and Ilia's costumes are green (albeit a much darker shade) with copper and white highlights.
What this all has to do with the programme, though, I have no idea. Because all the music was from much later! ("It's Tricky" was 1986; "How Deep Is Your Love" was 1977; and "Get Ready" was 1992).
That all said, the skating was very enjoyable. And they looked to be having the time of their lives out there.
When you look at the protocols, there wasn't a single minus on it, be it from the Judges or in terms of GOE. Three elements even got GOE higher than +2!
The first of these was actually the first element, the Curve Lift-Rotational Lift combination. And boys but it looked good! It got +2.33 in GOE. In terms of Judges marks, five of the Judges gave it +2; three of the Judges gave it +3; and Judge 6 gave it +4!
The Diagonal Step Sequence In Hold also looked good to me. It got GOE of +0.89 and mostly +1's from the Judges (Judge 1 gave it +2, while Judges 4 and 9 gave it 0) . This was the last element to be done during "It's Tricky".
The first element during "How Deep Is Your Love" was the Twizzles. And, I actually thought they got out of sync in each of the sets. But, my eyes must have been deceiving me. The GOE was lower at +0.51 and, like the previous element, most of the Judges gave +1 (Judge 8 gave them +2, while three Judges gave them 0).
There was a moment during the next element, the One Foot Turns Sequence, when it looked to me like they were supposed to be synchronised, but were not. Perhaps that is why this element had the lowest GOE of the programme, at +0.41. Four Judges gave it 0; another four gave it +1; and Judge 9 gave it +2.
The Bee Gees section finished with the Dance Spin, and it looked fine to me. It got GOR of +0.89, and the Judges were pretty balanced, with four giving +1 and five giving it +2.
The final section, to "Get Ready", was where the programme came alive, with the Choreographic Step Sequence and the Choreographic Dance Lift. Angelina even did a bit of Cossack Dancing during the former, although she had a bit of trouble getting up! And Ilia jumped over her shortly afterwards.
The Step Sequence got the highest GOE of the programme, at +2.96, and also got the highest marks from the Judges, with four +3's; four +4's; and a +5 from Judge 1! The Dance Lift also got a high GOE of +2.13, but the Judges were more subdued, with two +1's; +2 from Judge 3; five +3's; and +4 from Judge 6.
It was a fun end to the programme.
Angelina and Ilia finished the FS 3.55 points behind 3rd position, Jordyn LEWIS / Noah McMILLAN (CAN), and 0.72 points ahead of 5th position, Iryna PIDGAINA / Artem KOVAL (UKR). Angelina and Ilia are at the top of a larger group of five partnerships covered by 4.01 points that stretches down to 8th position, Noemi Maria TALI / Stefano FRASCA (ITA).
Overall, Angelina and Ilia were 1.20 points behind 4th position, Pidgaina / Koval, and 1.37 points ahead of 6th position, Elliana PEAL / Ethan PEAL (USA).
After seeing how good their programmes were at their first appearance, this is going to be a strong season for them. And we don't have long to wait to see them again, as they are doing back-to-back Junior GP's.
WELL DONE!!!
