2024 NRW Trophy | Nov 13-17

Genrikh popped the 3A into a single. Spins are still his weakness and judges were strict. General skating, however, is much improved.
It's ok, he's gonna be a cactus. Still made it into second place.

And just like the junior women's event, we also finish the junior men's SP with some terrible music. May my ears catch a break until the showdown in the FS tomorrow.

The camera was going in and out of focus at the start of the Warm-Up, but we managed to see Zarah and Alex coming towards the camera.

Unfortunately, we then switched to a camera pointing towards the officials for their introductions. So,we missed a big chunk of the Warm-Up.

Having started in an overhead camera, we then moed to a ground level camera. And it struck me how compact the hall is.

We then went back to the overhead camera, and it was again going in and out of focus.

Then we switched to the ground level camera again, and saw a lovely lift from Zarah and Alex.

Went back to the overhead camera, and saw Zarah doing a jump. I think Alex was at the boards at the far end of the rink.

Chris with them.

Well, here they come.

:cheer: ALL THE BEST ZARAH AND ALEX!!! :cheer:

Now that is a TES Box where we have no problem reading what is says! (The writing is far too small on the one at the Tallinn Trophy)

Out of sync on opening Double Axel.

Just about caught her on the Double Twist Lift.

Group 4 lift was beautiful.

Throw Triple Salchow good too.

Backwads Outside Death Spiral good!

Out of sync a couple of times during Step Sequence.

Out of sync again in final spins.

Waves from all three of them.

They score 40.65, and go into the lead (obviously!)

:cheer: WELL DONE ZARAH AND ALEX!!!!!! :cheer:

Ehrhard/Pellegris have one of the nicest sbs spins in the whole pairs field (not that that is a particularly high hurdle 😬), so nice that their 3STh is starting to become more consistent as well.

Wow, Genrikh with a quad Flip and a fierce 3A. :cheer2: Popped both lutzes into doubles though and fell out of the Flying Camel. He should get some kind of spin intensive camp next off-season.

The Senior Short Dance at the Tallinn Trophy is on a resurfacing, so I'm back for the start of the Senior Ladies SP to see my kid, Anna-Flora Clomor Jepsen.

Although, whether she is here or not is another matter, as there are only 4 skaters on the ice, instead of the scheduled 5.

Never fear, Anna-Flora is here. The Danish team jacket is easy to spot.

Unfortunately, we then switched to a camera pointing towards the officials for their introductions. So, we missed a big chunk of the Warm-Up.

Saw her lining up a jump, but she did it out of camera shot.

But then we switched to the overhead camera, and we saw her do another jump. To be honest, although there was nothing wrong with it, she didn't look very confident.

She then went down to the far end of the rink and did a nice spin.

She didn't do any other elements, because the Warm-Up finished shortly after that.

Since Tallinn is still on a resurfacing, I stayed on and watched Jogaile AGLINSKYTE (LAT).

But, now it is time for my girl.

:cheer: ALL THE BEST ANNA-FLORA!!!:cheer:

Leonora sending her off with a smile.

I recognise the dress, but not the music.

Very sultry at the start.

Beautiful Triple Toe Double Toe to start with.

Fell on Triple Salchow

Lovely Camel Spoin

Tripped and fell attempting Double Axel

Flying Sit Spin immediately afterwards good.

Step Sequence good.

She looked happy when she finished.

That was good.

No reaction at all from either sister to the scores.

She goes into 2nd position.

:cheer: WELL DONE ANNA-FLORA!!! :cheer:

Now back to Tallinn for me.
