Going back to Cherbourg, its composer Michel Legrand was married to French-Russian actress Macha Meril (they met in their youth and reconnected many years later). To me, she looks a lot like Annika Hocke!

When the Warm-Up, the camera picks up with Camille who is doing stretches. It then switches to Pavel, who is doing stretches too. And then back to Camille, who is getting a feel of the ice, before going to the next partnership.

When they finished going through the partnerships, they showed Camille doing a beautiful jump. And then cut to Pavel, who was just circulating not that far ahead of Camille, who owas now following him but not trying to catch up.

At the 1 minute warning, I thought they were joining up. But Camille was going to talk to Bruno, while Pavel continued around.

They then joined up, and did a final lap while the others were coming off the ice.

This has been an enjoyable comp so far. Really like the Icelanders, they’ve improved so much in 12 months. Also enjoyed the Poles and Czechs. Disappointed for the Dutch, they did gat a SB, but his injury held them back this season. Still liking watching them though.

I forgot G/A had previously medaled in Euros. Go the Kovalevs
